Charming cottage with pond in Heart of New River Gorge

Holly’s Pond House is a charming 3 bedroom cottage very close to New River Gorge and Adventures on the Gorge. This is a delightful cottage that is tucked away with its own fishing pond, but very close to everything the area has to offer. It is spacious and cozy, and the perfect place for travelers to explore, rest and relax.
Relax with your morning coffee on the front porch overlooking the pond, or enjoy the expansive deck with grill and hot tub after a day of adventures. At night roast marshmallows and tell stories around the campfire. Be sure and bring your fishing gear should you like to fish in your own pond (stocked frequently but whipped out by predators quickly so fish are typically small).
3 bedrooms with 2 baths. 2 queen, 1 king bed, and a queen sleeper sofa. King room has attached full bath, the second bath is off the living area. All amenities including, full kitchen with new appliances, including double oven, dishwasher and disposal, central heat and air, washer and dryer, Netflix, Hulu, and WiFi. All bedrooms have their own televisions.
There is a ramp off the back deck and a walk-in shower for those with mobility issues.
Location is the best: 2 min drive to Adventurs on the Gorge, 5 minute drive the New River Gorge Bridge, and 6 minute drive to downtown Fayetteville.

Family Getaway

We were very comfortable at Holly’s Pond cottage in the woods. Kitchen was pretty well equipped, furniture and beds were comfortable and the location is perfect to reach all the sites and activities quickly and easily. We’ll be back!

Perfect Location!

Easy straightforward check-in to the property and everything was in great order. We visited to hike and white water raft the location was perfectly situated between the rafting outfitter, Adventures on the Gorge, and the New River Gorge NP visitors center. The hot tub was perfect at the end of the day to relax and rejuvenate for the next day of adventure. PJ was a very responsive host. Hope to come back again next year!!

So relaxing!

We were headed to North Carolina and found out our location had to be canceled due to Helene. We reached out very last minute (as we were driving to the area) and the host was so incredibly gracious. The house was super comfortable and in such a relaxing area. We would highly recommend this host and location. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Best weekend ever

We came into town for our son’s wedding for 4 days and the owners couldn’t have been more accommodating for all our extra needs with all the wedding extra needs. I would give them 100 star rating if I could. Any question or need was answer or taken care of immediately.

Cozy cabin

The cabin was very cozy, relaxing with nice beds. The area is very nice, and it is very close to the scenic bridge. Was a little disappointed that some of the basic supplies were not provided like aluminum foil, scissors, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. For the two-night price that was expected based on other cabins we have rented in the past. There is a store Faily close, and we just ran out for a supply trip. Overall, I would recommend this place.

New River Gorge Perfection

We loved it so much we booked it for next year before we left. The property has everything you need down to cooking spices and board games. The house is situated close enough to activities that travel time is super short but is also so secluded that you feel like you’re the only family around. The fire pit was a nightly routine. Super clean super well equipped. A 10/10.

Gem in the woods!

Holly’s Pond House is tucked in off of a back road, but very close to all the action at New River Gorge National Park. The house was cozy and beautifully decorated and fit our family of 5 adults. The property boasts a large outdoor space with yard, fire pit, deck, and hot tub. The photos don’t show what a gem of a property this is. I was most impressed with the friendliness of the owners and offers to make our stay comfortable. I would definitely reserve this property again.

Fun for the Family

We had a short stay but it was a 10 out of 10 experience. The home is only about a 5 min drive from Adventure on the Gorge where we went rafting. The interior of the home was for clean and comfortable. But it was the pond out front that made this home an instant hit. Our kids had an absolute blast fishing in the pond and had great success. We hope we are lucky enough to find availability in the future to rent again.

Nice for a short stay, but not any longer than a few daya

The property was located in a great place to see the area of New River Gorge. We were staying for 8 nights but fiund it difficult to unpack as there are not closets and the rooms that do have a closet do not have a bar to hang anything on. It could use a deep cleaning and dusting, windows washed etc. The beds are comfortable but quite squeaky. Like i said nice for a few days but unable to umpack made it difficult to get settled in.

AMAZING! It had extra trash bags, dishwasher pods; the things you need to leave it the way you found it. The hot tub was the reason we booked this cottage. It was a welcoming spot to relax after running the 50K in town. The fire pit was a nice way to unwind upon arrival. Thank you for thinking of all the little things. This cottage had raised the bar for all of our future VBROs.

Perfect base camp for exploring New River Gorge

The Pond House was very clean and comfortable. Exactly what we expected from the description and reviews. We enjoyed the hot tub daily after our excursions. You do not need 4WD as one reviewer mentioned. There is lack of storage on all fronts for food and clothing and nowhere to put things in master bath sink area. Since there were only 2 of us it wasn’t an issue and I would not detract a star for that. We also had a fire in the fire pit, used the grill and enjoyed the rocking chairs on the front porch. We would stay again if we came back and highly recommend you book ot if it’s available. Very close to the main visitors center at New River Gorge national Park as well as Adventures on the gorge. We salut the hosts for providing a comfortable, clean and attractive place to make ourselves at home for a few days.

Great location

This cute little cottage was perfect for a getaway weekend with friends (6 of us was tight but it worked). The location is ideal for anything you want to do in the NRG. The owner is incredibly responsive. The only things we were disappointed with were that there was no shampoo or soap (other than pump hand soap) in the bathrooms (we should have brought our own) AND the pond, while beautiful, is tiny and there was no fishing to be done. Description does mention predators. Also, the bedrooms have nowhere to put clothes —no closets or even a hook on the back of a door. Otherwise, the bath towels were amazing and plentiful. The kitchen amenities were great. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch. The back deck table and chairs were too dirty to use. Loved the fire pit with firewood provided. We would come back.
