gîte des croisettes, in the Morvan regional park
I was hoping for a few days of quiet in nature, and that is exactly what I got. I remembered what stars look like, fell asleep to the sound of a river, and read to my heart's content, warmed by a real fire. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful and responsive. The cottage isn't too far from wine chateaux ...

Quiet country house, enclosed grounds, in the Morvan Park, ideal for a couple
This was a great place in the beautiful French countryside. Clean, quiet and plenty of room for two. Excellent jumping off point to Chablis, Dijon and other nearby towns/villages.
