"Hotel Ax has an very good breakfast buffet with unexpected flourishes such as ginger powder, pea protein balls for vegans, and yummy brownies. There's an ever-changing exhibit of art and a station to make your own art. The staff are friendly and attentive. Our request for a takeaway breakfast was cheerfully fulfilled. While the hotel is further from central Helsinki, it is well situated near West Harbour where Tallink and Eckero ships cruise to Tallinn."

"I've had the privilege of staying here on several occasions now and I have always found the staff extremely welcoming and helpful. My room was very clean, spacious and I got a wonderful night's sleep. I found breakfast to be a very enjoyable experience, a great selection of choice to suit most guests tastes. The actual location was superb, close to the shopping mall, restaurants and all the attractions of Helsinki only a few minutes walk away. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit Helsinki. I'm already looking forward to my return very soon. Thanks Scandic and all your staff for always making my stay enjoyable and memorable....your my home from home! Warmest wishes from Scotland"

"Great location outside of the city center, while being next to a trolly line that will take you right to Senate Square without having to transfer. You won't get daily room service like a traditional hotel, so keep that in mind, but I usually don't utilize room service even at hotel stays so wasn't an issue for me. There's no hotel parking but you can park across the street or a garage a 1.5 blocks away with the EasyPark app. The lot across the street is a gravel lot so not sure how long it's been there or will remain there as it does appear to be an improvised lot, though it does appear on the app so it's "sanctioned" parking."
