"Stunning setting for this castle on a moat. We were delighted with our large comfortable room in the castle up on the 2nd floor with a fabulous view across the grounds, gardens and moat. Dinner at the Michelin restaurant was beautifully presented and served, and breakfast was especially excellent and thoughtful.Staff were kind and helpful and always gracious. The gardens were delightful, even in the pouring rain. Wish we could have stayed longer."

"Sweet hosts, but allmost no privacy. Our room was located right next to the household kitchen, so we could hear everything (dishwasher, blender, talk in the kitchen, people moving around). Also we had to go through the kitchen to reach the bathroom… The dinner and breakfast was also a bit overpriced for the value…"

"We were informed very late that we couldn't access rooms until 1 hour after standard time. When given access we found one room not cleaned. When informing staff we only got options: wait for "someone" to clean room or take another room, without sea view. We asked them to clean the room. When "done", we still found bins not emptied and no towels. Asked for new towels and were promised them. Finally had to go down for them myself. Porter nice enough but hotel totally understaffed.
