Location is very convenient in heart of town. That is good Rooms spacious and clean Breakfast was tasty. Only inconvenience is no elevator.

I never interacted with any staff. Our keys were waiting for us on the front desk when we arrived. But I’m not complaining, it was very easy to check in. We stayed here for 2 nights and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and spacious the room was. The bathroom was very nice! This was probably my favorite stay out of the 4 cities I visited in Iceland. It’s also a very easy walk after getting off the ferry and it’s a short walk to restaurants and grocery stores. I would absolutely stay here again!

Excellent room! We loved our stay here however, one note is that the walls are pretty thin. You can hear other guests quite clearly which was the only downside of this stay. The place was clean, beautiful, and accessible.

Great location. Be prepared for self check-in but they leave the key with information on the desk. Close to ferry and downtown. Some parking is available but there is street parking too. So far, Tanginn has been our favorite restaurant. Very goid breakfast at hotel. So much to do on the island. Plan for 2-3 nights.

Nice family-run hotel, conveniently located near the harbor and several restaurants. Room and bathroom were both nice and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Parking was a bit of a challenge, just a few spots in front of the building, but there was also street parking. No elevator for a 3-storey building, but the daughter of the owner was very helpful in getting our large suitcases upstairs.

Perfect location for a little hotel. Walking around town was easy. It's an older hotel but the room was clean and bigger than expected. Very comfortable. We loved that we couldn't open a window. I would stay here again any time. I only have 4 stars because those things didn't come up at all. Our key was on the counter when we arrived and I didn't interact with any staff in the 2 nights we were there at all.

Enjoyed our stay here. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Check in was simple, and the staff was very kind. Walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores. I'd stay here again.

Beautiful guest house. Large room with view of a volcano and most comfortable bed of my entire stay in Iceland. Modern bathroom. Very convenient to ferry. Easy parking. Very nice but not bougie just how I like it!

One night sleep near a volcano

One quick overnight stay. Staff was very accommodating for our early arrival. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Unfortunately, we had to leave early for the ferry departure and weren't able to enjoy the complimentary breakfast.

This simple guesthouse was in a perfect location and was very clean and safe. We wanted extra pillows and they were brought to us. I appreciated having a couch to sit on, it's nice to have the extra seating area. Also appreciated the fridge in the hallway.

Guesthouse Hamar is in a great location, only a few blocks from the ferry (leave your car on the mainland if you don’t really need to drive on Westmann Island). The room was a lot bigger than I thought. Shower was a little tight, but ok. Breakfast was included which was good as well. Walls are a bit thin, but there wasn’t anyone up late, so it didn’t bother us at night. Very happy with this 1 night stay.

Enjoyed our one night at the Hamar Guesthouse. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. Location on this small island was great and an easy walk to everything--restuarants, harbor, stores, hikes, etc. Parking on the site was limited but parking on the island is free so you can pretty much park on the street in front and everywhere all day. Would highly recommend if you are visiting Haimaey and Vestmannaeyjar!
