Location was Perfect
A little tough to find as I was not expecting the street to start out as pedestrian only. we walked right past the street. Not the hotels fault. Check in was a breeze, front desk staff were always pleasant and the hotel was very clean. The room was small but not unexpectedly so. The included Breakfast was satisfactory and both coffees machines were great. Lacking was the ac as it was very hot out and it barely managed to keep up. When you leave the room you have to leave your key at the desk and this turns off the ac and electricity in your room. I understand the ac being off when the room is empty but you can’t charge a device when you step out. Minor but still noticeable. Internet was strong enough to communicate and send pictures. 6 minute walk to the water bus station and same to the public beach. Shopping and many restaurants 3 minutes away on foot. 2 grocery stores nearby. Overall we were very pleased and would stay again.

Love this place!
This is the second time we have returned! We love the quiet location on Lido. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Best of all is the wonderful breakfast provided! We love the fresh buns and croissants! And the coffee machines are awesome! We will be back!

Lido Island retreat from the crowds
This was a quiet hotel away from the bustle of Venice on Lido Island. For us it made a nice contrast in the evening to the tourist crowds of the day as we didn't mind the vaporetto ride - it is at the end of the line and it takes a while to reach the main points of interest. But if you are not in a rush, it is well worth it. Note, the vaporetto line 1 (with larger boats accommodating a bit more luggage) can take quite a while to reach the train station from Lido as it makes every possible stop. Our room was quite small, but clean and comfortable. The only drawback was the window, which we had to open fully for air circulation, but it made it difficult to reach the bed! (the large window swung into the room and there was no option to just open it a bit for air).

All Great Except the Morning Front Desk Lady
The two men who were there upon check in were really nice. But the woman working the front desk in the morning was either rude or didn't know how to smile. I mean, I've stayed a lot of places and she must have been having a bad day.

Great Local Hotel Near Everything
What a great local hotel. It's on a quiet street in Lido right on a small canal. The hotel is a bit old and in need of some updates but otherwise very comfortable. It is 10 min from the main drag (bars, restaurants), the vaporetto stop (10 min ride to St Mark Square), and the free public beach. We had 2 rooms that were clean and nice. The breakfast is pretty standard. The staff was super accommodating and very helpful. They helped surprise my husband for his birthday with a delicious bottle of wine and a fruit basket in our room. One of the rooms was on the first floor that had a loft with a queen bed and 2 twin beds on the bottom. This room was comfortable for my mom and two kids and quiet (it's situated in the back of the building). The other room was on the top floor and had a wrap around balcony. It had an amazing view. Both bathrooms were pretty dated and in need of a rehab but served the purpose well. The elevator is very slow but worked fine. Surprisingly the AC units worked very well in the heat. The hotel allows parking in their "backyard" for 10 euros/day if you arrive by car. Overall we had a great experience and we would go back and stay at this hotel again.

We absolutely loved staying on Lido at Atlanta Augustus. Lido is so charming, with a great chilled out vibe and without the crazy crowds in central Venice. The water taxis are really regular so can spend the day exploring and come home to a lovely quiet neighbourhood. There are plenty of great restaurants in the vicinity too. The hotel staff were very welcoming, the room was spacious and comfortable.

Good location. Easy to reach. Helpful hosts. Unfortunately the wifi was not working on the day we were there. Breakfast was satisfactory. Shower pressure was very poor and was not draining quickly. The room had two single beds and a double be in the loft. Might be more suitable for a family with little kids.

Lovely hotel
Nice hotel in very nice area, Lido is very beautiful with nice restaurants and the beach is absolutlely gorgeous, nice for a long walk. The hotel is very well equipped and breakfast was very good, a toaster would have been nice but not a big deal. We had a very nice stay.

Great location
Comfortable bed, fantastic breakfast. Friendly staff. Hotel is on Lido island away from the crowds of Venice, but still only an enjoyable short boat ride away. Easy to get to from airport, ferry then a short walk.

Loved it!
We loved our stay at Hotel Atlanta Augustus. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was perfect, with a wonderful view. The area was laid back, lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Happy family of 4!
We had a lovely stay at the Atlanta Augustus - the hotel is in easy walking distance from the Water Bus Stop so it makes it a great stay if you don't want to stay in central Venice. We stayed with two young children and had no problems at all.

We were completely satisfied with our 4-day stay here. We enjoyed the comfy beds, luxurious bathroom and quiet street, only 5 minutes walk to the beach or to a nice area with restaurants, bars, shops, a market and laundry facilities. The staff was professional and accommodating, provided us with maps and any information we needed. Lovely breakfast served in a bright, cheerful dining area. Everything was clean and very pleasant. Would definitely return.

Clean very basic hotel with friendly staff
We booked a one night getaway at this hotel. Lovely from outside, rooms very poorly decorated and dated e.g. bathroom was tiled in several different tiles - looked like they'd bought six batches of end of lines and whacked them on the walls! Twin bed pushed together - quite comfortable. Very clean. Fine if you want somewhere to just drop at night but don't recommend this if you want to impress with something romantic.

Chose Lido as the base for a few days in Venice and very pleased with Atlanta Augustus. Located 5 mins walk from Main Lido SME vaporetto terminal and less than 10 mins from the beach. Had one of the 4 rooms on 4th floor which each have small roof terrace with hammock, and distant views over to Venice and the sea. Only complaint was that breakfast is basic - but there are local bars, restaurants, and shops incl a couple of supermarkets if you prefer to fend for yourself.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Would definitely recommend. The room was nice, the bathroom and shower were fantastic. Breakfast was good - simple, but very adequate with cheese, ham, fruit, yoghurt, coffee, cereal, and some pastries. Very good value.

Outstanding hotel
This is an outstanding hotel. It is clean, spacious, comfortable. Particularly, staff is excellent. They help us to charge the phone and even prepare our breakfast for carrying out when we needed to leave early before 6 in the morning. We were touched by their hospitality. It is about one hour by water bus to train station, which is convenient.

The room we had was very small but was nicely decorated. The hotel is very close (just a few minutes walk) to the watdrbus stop. Breakfast is nothing special but nothing wrong either. Lots of restaurants nearby for eating

Wonderful hotel!
Our entire family stayed at the hotel for a weekend. This is hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed at as a family. The hotel is right next to one of Lido's canals in a very quiet part of the island. The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The owners had clearly spent a lot of time on the hotel itself and its garden, both were fantastic. Our room had two separate big rooms with two beds in each, with a bathroom (with two sinks!) in the middle. Perfect for parents traveling with children. Great breakfast in the cellar every morning. If we ever go back to Lido we will stay here again.

the location of this hotel was great right off the main strip of shops, bars and restaurants, although our room wasn't quite what we expected having a terrible view for what we had payed for and some of the hotels services were not as advertised for example we asked to use the laundry service and they said they never had a service as such, when i asked why it said so on the website they couldn't give me an answer, as for the air-conditioning (that was really necessary) it didn't work well/at all sometimes causing sleepless nights. venice/ lido is a beautiful place to be but i would not return to this hotel if I was to visit again.

Excellent hotel at Lido
This hotel was fantastic for family of 5. The location is only 5 minutes from the water shuttle and 5 minutes from Lido beach. The staff especially Roberta was so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this hotel. We would definitely come back to this hotel again.

Nice hotel and very nice staff who will go out of their way to help you. Room is clean and cosy, and the wifi is reliable and strong. It is in a quiet place with a great location; the hotel is a 3 minute walk away from the Lido dock and a bike ride away from the beach.

Far Enough From The Madding Crowds
So glad we chose to stay on Lido rather than crowded Venice. We had our breakfast in the garden and it was wonderful. All the people at the desk were very helpful and friendly.

Very nice and friendly hotel. Excellent location.
We had a penthouse room on the top floor, with a private terrace overlooking the little canal. The hotel had its own unique character (unlike the many chain hotels you usually find) and was very pleasant. The breakfast was good (continental style) and all the staff we met were friendly. This area is definitely the best location for staying in Venice. It's got more of a village feel, but only 5 mins walk to the river boat services into Venice (which run every 10 mins, and run 24 hours a day), and the hotel is also about 5-10 mins walk to the beach on the other side of the Lido. There's also lots of nice little cafés and restaurants very close to the hotel. When arriving by plane, you can also reach the Lido directly from the airport by river bus. Highly recommend this hotel - you won't be disappointed!

Two night stay with family - decided to stay on the Lido away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. This was a good idea. Hotel was nice and staff very friendly. Rooms were a good size and nice and clean. Breakfast was continental but a decent quality. Local restaurants nearby were nice - ate at Roxys one night. Easy to get to the hotel by vaporetto boat - bought a 48 hour pass for unlimited travel at 30 euros. Would recommend and would stay here again. Big supermarket very close to buy any essentials.

Loved the hotel...staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with plenty on offer. Was awakened each morning with a gorgeous smell of freshly baked breads and croissants. The location was fabulous too and quiet as away from all the excitement going on in the centre. Everything is a simple boat ride away and very pleasant too. Will definitely stay here again as great price too.

Nice small hotel, crew are pleasent and rooms are cleam. Breakfast is good. we got a 2 day pass to ACTV boats for 30eu each, little ecpenssive but woth to get all places around venice in one pass. the hotel nigborhoos is nice and you can go down and have a beer in local pub or have a family dinner in main street. The only bad experiance is that we forgot something in the room and they dont answer!! after 2 days we suceed to get someone to look it up but they did not call back that they find it and dont answer at evenings.

Central hotel
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, we thought the decor although recently re-done was a bit outdated ( this maybe because we like modern styles) however, the hotel and rooms were very clean and tidy, everything worked and the room was cleaned and beds made everyday. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was ideal. Two minute walk from the main street and restaurants and five minutes from the waterferrys.

Hotel room and bed not big enough for 2 with no A/C was hot and got no sleep. Breakfast quality was sub par. But could walk to town and public beach. Think hotel controled the thermostat for A/C Would not return to this hotel

Generally a nice stay Breakfast is fairly basic and does not change. One thing we were not comfortable with was: Rolls were returned to the basket as part of the table clean up (these should have been thrown out).

Good hotel on the Lido
We stayed here for three nights on our visit to Venice. We loved everything about the hotel except the shower. If we were staying any longer that may have been more of a problem. The staff were all friendly, room was a good size and clean, the breakfast had a large selection of things to eat and drink.

The rooms were very nicely decorated, in a Venetian style, but contemporary. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was basic, but good. Location is key; very close to the beach and the Vaporetto.
