Kind of a bummer
The stay was fine. The problem was with booking. I needed to change an arrival date. The Alcyone handled that not Hotels.com and I don't know why. I had five reservations at this hotel. The Alcyone cancelled two of them without my knowledge or approval. When I found out I had to rebook at a new much more expensive rate and one of my room types was sold out so I had to book a triple room that I didn't need. What a racket! Now because the Alcyone took over those two reservations, Hotels.com only has three of them on file and I missed out on the Rewards points.The stay was fine although the in room free Wi-Fi didn't work. We had to find a place outside for reception. The employees were pleasant. Frankly worrying about my rooms being right and available and the trouble I had to go through for repeated follow ups took some of the joy out of our stay for me & my family.

The rooms were dirty, light fixtures broken, shower door missing, gnats flying around and just a whole sense of being rundown. I had to move to a different hotel, and the Alcyone would not refund the night. I did not stay due to the hotel conditions.

Overcharging
Upon check in on September 9, we were told by the lady at the desk to pay €6.50 in cash for service or some other city tax, which we did not dispute and paid. Next day upon check out, same girl asked for €10.50 for city tax. When we told her we had already paid the day before €6.50, she totally denied that we had paid and since we had not gotten a receipt for it, we could not prove it. €6.50 is not worth fighting for, but the attitude and denial of the same girl whom we paid 6.50 in cash made us very angry. We request that the management look into this and while disciplining the girl at the desk, credit our credit card with €6.50.

Wifi is only available in the lobby and not in the rooms. This is not very convenient when you're on the fourth floor and there is no elevator. After being there 2 nights we were quite rudely informed by the woman at the front desk we were not allowed to take the key off of the property. We had come and gone multiple times without turning in our key prior to this. If it is their policy, they should have told us at check in and not scolded is in the presence of other hotel guests.

Property is old and not maintained air condition was horrible loud we could not sleep at all. Bathroom is very tight and no toilet seat and flush was broken we asked the front desk to change the room she asked us to pay another 30 euros per night to have another room.after long discussion she changed us on the next day to another room which was better bathroom and AC. The hotel mentions that they have WIFI they don’t have in the rooms only special spot near the reception

Great location but needs renovation urgently
This hotel is very tired, with dated decor and the rooms are almost too small to move in, the bathroom is more of a corridor where had to be careful moving around. Great location though

There is no wifi in the rooms it lies. The fish tank is disgusting. The room smelled odd. The AC didn't work. The bed had indentations where people have slept and was uncomfortable. They wouldn't move me or refund me so I just left and paid for 2 nights that I wasn't there. Got a different hotel and had a great time.

Complete Let Down
We arrived late after our flights to find our hotel to look like an abandoned trailer. Stains on the rug. Shower door busted off completely. Trim missing and piled in the corner. Toilet paper holding up a shelf. I can’t make this up. They had nothing else to transfer us to and we booked a different hotel for the duration of our time in Venice. They wouldn’t refund us or comp us in anyways. Major let down. The photos they post are not true to how it looks. No elevators also.

I am easy traveler, as long as the room is clean, with a private bathroom and wifi, I am happy. Multiple things went wrong with this hotel. #1 Free wifi is advertised, BUT only for a small common area and it doesn’t always work. Nowhere it says that!! I had to work and attend conference calls, which was very challenging. I mainly booked this place because of the wifi and that it was close by to where i was staying previously. #2 At night, i asked if they had water and I was handed a bottle, I was not even informed I had to pay it during checkout, what if i didn’t have any money left? #3 The staff was rude, with the exception of the boy in the afternoon and the breakfast staff. I decided this was not going to ruin my last day in Venice, so I took a few deep breaths. I will never stay there again, and do not recommend it.

The hotel is very miserable
The hotel is very miserable in the true sense of the word for the price. It does not deserve to be a tourist hotel. It is just a non-existent room. It is not worth more than ten-twenty dollars. The rooms are very small. The bathroom. I do not know what to say about it. The breakfast and the treatment of the employees are very bad. look if you are begging, they raise the food and hide it during breakfast time. The paralyzed and the great disaster without an elevator, and I had to carry my bags to the third floor, and I am 65 years old, and this was not mentioned in the details of the hotel. The only advantage is the location, but it is not worth the price ever I ask you to compensate for this because of suffering, effort and fatigue, not recreation.

The location is ideal especially with the surrounding shops and proximity to the waters station. My only issue is that wifi is available only within the small lobby area. The rooms are quite dated and needs refurbishing but the T&B is very new and clean.

Okay Place
This hotel is in a good location and has good breakfast, that’s about it! The decor is as advertised and extremely outdated. It looks like an unstylish grandma barfed all over the place with the decor. Also - if you were like me and wondering how they matched the couch fabric and the wallpaper EXACTLY, it’s because the wallpaper IS fabric haha No internet in the rooms, only crappy internet in the lobby. The front desk entrance looks like it could be used for a school bake sale, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it was fine. Staff spoke English and were helpful.

It's a nice hotel to stay for the price. The receptionist was welcoming but the lady at the bar yelled at us when I wanted to put water in my bottle and was very rude. Not recommended

Served it's purpose.
Basic but clean. Room was dark & small but suffice for single traveller. Reception staff were polite. Roof leaked in lobby when it rained. Breakfast was ok. Lacked anything hot or any fresh fruit. Hotel is placed very central so easy to get to places by walking, ferry, gondola etc. Woukd stay there again.

Every thing was clean. Small bath, small room with fabric wall covering and comfortable bed. Very good breakfast, including meat, cheese, fruit, pastries, etc. Very convenient location near Rialto and San Marco. Wi-fi in comfortable lobby. One English channel.

Great location and staff, disappointing room
Location of the hotel was excellent - 3 minutes from Rialto bridge and waterbus stops and easily walkable to San Marco and the train station. Great area with bars, restaurants and cafes plus great shops. Staff were friendly and spoke good English and they let us store our bags at the hotel on check Our day. The morning buffet breakfast was great. Good information offered for tours and activities if required. The room was very dingy with basically no natural light, and was quite dirty on check in with a squished mosquito on the bathroom wall, stains on the fabric walls and a very fusty smell in the room. The squished mosquito remained on the wall until check out despite the room being cleaned twice. Overall at almost £100 a night and outside of peak season I was a little disappointed by the standard, though it should be ok if you don’t plan to spend any time in the room.

Rooms were a little on the small side but we knew this before booking. Only 2 pillow for the bed which was quite uncomfortable. No iron which was slightly disappointing. Location great, standard continental breakfast. Overall myself and my wife enjoyed our stay.

Location is terrible. can't find it. even local cannot find the location. I spend 2 hours to find the location. Room is tiny like a match box. Cannot even open a bag. No help provided by staff to bring luggage upstairs.

Good location
It was in a good area as far as accessibility to important sites in Venice. Service was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was unfortunate that we couldn't enjoy the view with the window open because the canal was so dirty it made the room smell like a sewer. This was not the fault of the hotel though.

The hotel was very well located. Only 5 minutes from Rialto Bridge. Easy to get about and see things. Staff all very friendly. The only thing was that our room was quite small. It did us fine though as we were hardly in it!

The add-on bathroom in the room was disgusting, you had to sit sideways on the toilet because your knees touch the wall, more of a problem if you are tall. The shower drain was clogged up and therefore the water overflowed onto the carpet in the bedroom. The carpet in the bedroom along the bathroom door was black because of water constantly overflowing from shower spilling into bedroom. Buffet breakfast very basic but the cold meats, cheese and yoghurt is not refrigerated, always warm which is very concerning.

Great place for the price. Kept clean. Hotel staff are friendly and very good at English. Shop next door will open some wine which you can take to your room. Unfortunately the terrace isn't open but that doesn't matter so much as the air con is great. Breakfast is good. Location is excellent for travelling to San Marco square and the Rialto bridge. Be careful of the doors when you leave. They don't lock by turning the key. You have to slam them shut. Other than that. Very impressed

The room was extremely small with no AC. It was very hot even though it was cool outside and we had the window open. There’s no WiFi in the room, only the lobby. Other than those two things, it was fine.

Location is great. Close to Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's square. Room was very small but we knew that from other reviews. Light breakfast was good with a bit of meat as well as the usual continental fare.
