Wonderful relaxing stay. Staff are very helpful and nice. 2 bedroom villa was amazing with all the amenities. Only note is that the showers and toilets are outside the room, but still private. It’s great for washing up after the beach and keeping sand out of the rooms. Also, floors in the public areas (reception, restaurant, bar) are sand, so no need to bring fancy heels!

Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre , villa plage , car la n153 n’avait pas de plage à marée haute . Il n’y a pas eu de problème. Ça a été fait assez rapidement . Chambre propre , mais pas digne d’un 5 étoiles car en profondeur il y a des choses pas nettes . Une petite rénovation serait envisageable . Néanmoins les villas plage sont bien entretenue, les toitures refaites. Beau lagon . Mais pas d’accès au tombant . Une sortie est organisée par jour , c’est peu ! Et elle dure que 35 mn… avec le trajet ils comptent 1 h. Restauration bonne . Laila a été parfaite , très souriante . Nous espérons revenir .

The photographs do not do this property justice. The rooms and ocean views are amazing. The staff was extremely friendly. If you are a foodie this may not be the property for you. The all inclusive / full board option included breakfast, lunch and dinner at specified times (not all day as you like). In room dining is offered, but is not included in the all inclusive / full board package, and the pricing for food is high. There are also only two locations for food: one on the “main island” where the beach villas are located and one on the island where the over the ocean villas are located. I only visited the location where the over ocean villas are located. The food that was provided was very good. However, I am one who can eat the same things daily and be fine. Breakfast was buffet style. Lunch and dinner menus at the restaurant on the island where the ocean villas are located does not change. The bar tenders make great drinks. In room snacks consist of a small package of Pringle’s and a snickers bar which is replenished once per day. Drinks in room include water, beer, a bottle of vodka, a bottle of rum and two small bottles of wine - one white and one red, in addition to Orange Fanta and sprite. The seaplane ride is about an hour and you will likely have a drop off / pick up on your way. But the hotel is great about arranging travel and a representative was waiting at the airport and was extremely helpful in navigating the airport.

Wonderful resort, the lagoon villas are much nicer than the island villas, much more equipped and the interior is far better. They have a few restaurants almost all of them serve the same dishes, the food is very good, but not too many choices. Would be great if they added more items to the menu. We had a pleasant honeymoon there. I recommend anyone who doesn't consume alcohol or wants one or two drinks a day to avoid the all-inclusive option, as it only makes sense if you want to drink a lot. My wife had a serious sunburn and Dr.Naveed from the clinic was such an amazing human and doctor, he went above and beyond to make sure we are happy and safe, and also enjoy our limited time on our honeymoon, he used to follow up daily and was such a wonderful human. The interaction we had with Dr.Naveed made our stay 10x better, we can't thank you enough Doctor.

Was not wowed by this resort at all, too many issues for the money paid. Poor service, dirty grubby rooms and poor all inclusive options and limited menu. Even when we discussed the issues with mgmt, they blamed covid which I appreciate but then don’t continue to charge 5* prices for a 3* resort

The view was really nice! But the beach house we stayed in was alright. They didn’t provide us with the basic amenities aka toothbrushes and toothpastes. The toilet and shower is outdoor and open and there is no bathtub.

Beautiful island with friendly staff

The island is very beautiful and the new years gala dinner was exceptional..the GM mourad is very active and goes around welcoming the guests... special thanks to Rahim from catering and Noufal from reception for making our stay a better one

Great stay at Angsana Velavaru

Great experience at Angsana Velavaru. Beautiful doesn't begin to describe the location. Given the hotel was undergoing renovations we were upgraded to an ocean villa for the duration. Of our stay. Service was impeccable with all the staff going out of ther ways to make our stay more pleasant. Hotel activities and food are definitely on the expensive side but expected for a Maldives resort. Highly recommended!

Holiday at angsana velavaru is a dream come true. Staff are super friendly & very accomodating to requests. My flight to Male got delayed hence we were only able to check-into velevaru a day later & the hotel very much kind enough to change our duration of stay by pushing it to a day later despite informing them only few hours prior to check-in. In-ocean villa is huge & well equipped with all essentials. Activities were well arranged by reception staff. Just a small drawback that the main island was undergoing renovation. Hence it was quite inconvenient. But the resort was kind enough to compensate for that by giving complimentary activities for the guests. Overall an awesome holiday & a place that i will definitely recommend.

Things I like about the property is Beach access and staff service. What could have improved is better value for money. After paying close to 350 dollars a night. To find out food is not included and to pay an additional 270 dollars for food is a bit steep. So I don't think the property could justify 620 dollars a night.
