Highly recommend this hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful, the view is breathtaking and the area around the hotel is beautiful. The hotel offers great value for money.
Parking was very and a distance from the hotel. Interesting property, very peaceful and well maintained. Quite white glove! Lots of families and couples, mostly local Danes.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities
Beautiful place. Room was clean and the bed was fantastic. Would stay again.
A very nice hotel with beautiful surroundings. We had a walk along the lake and could sit outside and watch some boats passing by. A quiet and relaxing place.
The service was also good.
(We stayed for one night in july 2025)
Absolutely worth visiting! Food was excellent, staff very kind and made us feel we were welcome. Beautiful buildings, lovely view - perfect place for a relaxing stay.
Two stays with two weeks apart.
First visit was immense! So we promised to return after our European tour.
Second visit was also good with very nice and helpful staff.
Very good breakfast and facilities.
Electrical car charging (22kW & 150+kW)
Wonderful property and view. But my first night because of a big wedding I was Dewitt my room with no restaurant or bar access. Only room service available.
This hotel is a classic! It's old-world charm and beauty are meticulously preserved but has all the modern conveniences. It is beautiful and the setting is magnificent. The staff was wonderful and welcoming and ready to meet your every need. The dining was spectacular! I give this stay the highest marks possible. Everything was wonderful.
Very nice hotel. It was a remote location with lots of green and outdoor walking or running access. Only used the restaurant cafe, which however was nice, friendly and accommodating. Room was nice. Good bathroom.
Lovely property with very friendly staff. Our only issue was that we arrived on a Friday afternoon and we did not know to pre book for dinner. The restaurant and cafe were both fully booked so he had to get room service or return to town. So book dinner in advance. A message from property suggesting we pre book would have been helpful.
Hotel Koldingfjord was fantastic, impressive, beautiful, peaceful, and more. I wish we spent more time here. I fell in love with Denmark in part because of Hotel Koldinfjord. I definitely want to return.
The hotel was going through some construction improvements, but it did not take away from or joy in being there. If anything, it will make our next visit even more enjoyable.
This was marketed as a place for a quiet stay. A great opportunity for some peace and quiet. Until it became a raucous wedding venue on our fourth night there. Considerable loss of amenity for other guests, no warning of it, loud music and voices until 2:15am. A conga line of complaining sleepless guests at the desk the next morning. A manager that went missing and left the reception staff to deal with it. Do not stay here. No concierge. No air conditioning in rooms. A fine dining restaurant that seemed to specialise in hamburgers. Great views.
Hotel exterior and surroundings are amazing. Imo the interior is a bit of a letdown though. The design does not do justice to the exterior and has more of a 2 to 3 star vibe to it than 4+.
This was reflected mostly in the restaurant area. 5 star pricing (>35 Euros for a good yet simple hamburger, some fries and vegetables) was excessive and the furniture and lighting really didn't give a special feel, which the view outside definitely deserved.
We stayed in the main building with a large bed, facing the courtyard. Room did not have airco which was not a big issue as it was not that warm. Bathroom was not very small yet designed in a way that made it feel much smaller with the sink unnecessary close to the WC.
A walk outside around the premises is really recommended.
It is possible to charge an electric or hybrid car and there were also a few Tesla chargers.
The staff was overall friendly and accommodating.
All in all it was an okay stay but the hotel interior lacked a bit of 'soul' and therefore failed to confirm the wow factor of the exteriors.
I have stayed several times at this property across 15 years. It is great site with a beautiful view of the fjord. The staff is always helpful and engaged. Breakfast is great and my room is always clean.
The rooms are very Scandinavian with the shower being larger than many such hotels. There is no AC. I will continue to stay at Kolding Fjord Hotel!
