Charming Town House "La Casa del Agua" in Prime Location
In the old town of Vejer de la Frontera, famous for its typical Andalusian architecture, lies the holiday house La Casa del Agua with space for 6 people. The lovingly renovated, tastefully decorated old building has on 3 floors a spacious living room in Vietnamese style, a dining room with pictures from Thailand and masks from China, a very well-equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms (two with double bed, one with 2 single beds), a bathroom and an extra toilet. Further equipment includes fans and heaters in all rooms and a TV. The highlight is the outdoor area, which in addition to the cosily furnished courtyard with a Turkish fountain also has a roof terrace with grill and fantastic views over the city and the sea - here holiday dreams come true! Thanks to its excellent location, numerous shopping facilities, restaurants and bars are within walking distance. The nearest beaches in El Palmar and Barbate are about 12 km away and can be reached by car in about 15 minutes.
The whirlpool is only open from June to September.
Free parking is available on the street.

Es handelt sich um ein sehr großes altes Haus im historischen Ortskern von Vejer. Der großzügige Eingangsbereich ist durch ein Glasdach lichtdurchflutet. Insgesamt sind alle Räume sehr hell. Im Erdgeschoss befinden sich die Küche, der Essbereich, das Wohnzimmer und das Bad. Im Obergeschoss befinden sich zwei Schlafzimmer und eine Toilette. Über eine weitere kleine Treppe (3 Stufen) erreicht man noch ein weiteres Schlafzimmer. Die große Dachterrasse ist über eine steile Wendeltreppe zu erreichen. Alle Türen und Fenster des Hauses scheinen echt antik/uralt zu sein. Das hat natürlich seinen Charme, führt aber dazu, dass man nicht alle Türen schließen kann und auch das Schließen der Fenster ist nicht immer ganz einfach. Das Badezimmer hat einen ganz besonderen Charme; die antike Armatur des Waschbeckens müsste aber besser befestigt werden. Ein Sonnenschutz auf der Terrasse wäre wünschenswert. Uns hat das Haus sehr gut gefallen.

Sehr enttäuschend!
Leider stimmte und funktionierte in diesem Haus vieles gar nicht. Es gibt keine Zentralheizung, die aufgestellten Heizlüfter waren zum großen Teil nicht funktionsfähig und wurden erst nach 2 Tage teilweise ersetzt. Da es sehr kalt war, war das Haus ausgekühlr und wir konnten nur einen Raum und das Bad einigermaßen heizen.
Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter funktionierte nur sehr schlecht. Die Toilettenspülung war defekt und musste von uns immer wieder notdürftig in gang gesetzt werden. Am Ende hat es in einigen Räumen reingeregnet unter anderem auf unser Bett. Die Dachterrasse war kaum begehbar, da die Tür stark klemmte. Die Sitzkissen auf der Terrasse waren verschimmelt. Wir sind wegen des Regens einen Tag früher abgereist und in ein Hotel gezogen. Schade, die Bilder waren so viel versprechend und Vejer ist nach wie vor eine wunderschöne Stadt.
