It is well located for visits to the sights of the Argonne, including First World War monuments, cemeteries etc. The owner is very charming and helpful, with advice on where to visit and things to do. "This is a sparse, no nonsense stay. The staff were polite. Could do with a tv that has an option to see/hear Rnhlish, eithet as simply subtitles or conversion to the original language. I am glad I drove into Verdun, it is a beautiful and a historic place and with a lot of lovely restaurants."
