"All Good at Sri Oskar Palace. Since it was not high season My Aircon no-river view was complementarily upgraded, to A Riverview room complete with a great shared balcony. They were really good at getting me from and back to the airport with the taxi service. My only issue, and it is not the fault of the hotel, was the aggressive monkeys. They would come onto the balcony and at first, be cute. I made the mistake of letting one sip some beer I poured for it on the top of the wall. It made a great Social Media post, but the next day, two monkeys joined me up on the balcony, and I didn’t have any beer!! They were not happy and acted out towards me… I Didn’t feel totally safe up there after that… Don’t give ANYTHING to the monkeys! Have breakfast away from the edge on the rooftop, because monkeys jumped on our tables and made a mess and broke glasses all over the floor…"

"My wife was really sick and the manager of the hotel organized fast doctor visit and even drove us it. Absolute legend. Hotel itself is well located and rooms are big and well maintained. Thank you so much guys!!!!!!!"

"The only good thing about this hotel is its location. It’s perfectly situated close to all the major landmarks in the city, making sightseeing very convenient. However, the biggest issue is transportation. No vehicles are allowed in the area, so you have to walk at least 700–800 meters with your luggage. This was especially difficult in the extreme heat (44°C) and with a child. It was a very uncomfortable and exhausting experience. The room itself was extremely small—comparable to a matchbox. While the hotel does have an in-house restaurant, the food was just okay, nothing special. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for comfort or ease of access. It might suit solo travelers who are okay with walking and don’t mind compact rooms, but for families or anyone with mobility concerns, this place is not ideal."

"Excellent price for the package - if you’re doing a couple of days in Varanasi for sight-seeing, then the included breakfast, high tea and 2 pieces of laundry are very helpful. Frustratingly, the hotel has a “no outside food” policy, but the dining options are pretty reasonable, so it’s not too bad. You’re quite far from any of the tourist spots, so you’ll need to get autos/ taxis from the hotel every time. The overall standard of the hotel is high - much higher than I was expecting for the price. Recommended."

"Abhijeet, the manager was unfailingly courteous and friendly and provided superb service. The area around the hotel is blocked off to taxis and is on a pedestrian lane and he was gracious enough to send a porter to meet my Rick Shaw to guide me to the hotel. Subsequently, he sent a porter with my luggage to the pick up point for my Uber to the airport. Outstanding service well done! The hotel doesn’t look like much on the outside, but the rooms are very attractive with plenty of hot water and an excellent breakfast is provided free of charge. Furthermore, the hotel is five minutes walk from the ghats and one minute walk from the main street."

"I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Clark’s. The hotel has an old world charm. The staff is very efficient and pleasant. My room was spacious but I did not care for the two single beds - I felt as if II was going to fall off the bed! That was not what I had booked. The hotel has an excellent breakfast buffet and on several days breakfast was served in two different restaurants. There was live Indian classical music in one of the Restaurants. The area around the Hotel is good with a mall next door. "
