Nice hotel, Bad area

The hotel is good, staff were helpful and friendly. However, the area is not very good. It's about 25 minute drive to the river, a lot of tuk tuk drivers are unwilling to bring you. The area around the hotel was dodgy too.

Hotel location is good near Vishwanath temple, but rooms are not good, there is no view on my room, windows covered because kitchen smell will come if open it, they have so many items in menu but you will not get most of the things.

Inside the hotel it is good. Staff is very friendly. There was this guide who’s name is Vicky who was very friendly and had many connections with the Kashi vishwanath temple pandits who can help to expedite the Darshan, but you are in your own to deal with pandits on the offerings you do because there is not set fees for anything. I liked aloo parata deep fry in the complementary breakfast at the hotel. There Annapurna restaurant right behind the hotel where we had our dinners through out the stay. Hotel also arranged travels to Sangam. Overall this is better hotel given there are not many good hotels in the surrounding.

The hotel said they did not have my booking, despite having paid in full. It took some time to locate my booking. The initial room I was given was next to a wall being jackhammered. It was small and dated. I requested a room change. There was no room service. The website states the hotel is three star, but it does not compare to other three-star hotels I have stayed in. I did not sleep well due to the noise and I did not feel safe. The only reason I stayed was because my booking was non-refundable. Even now I still question whether I would have been better off foregoing the money paid. I would not stay again and I would not recommend.

Location is excellent for a non-ghat property. Located at an important junction which is at the border of the old city and the new city. It is on an average a 15 mins frive from the main ghats.

Stay here since rooms are good. But restaurant and staff are very bad. Service is worst. So always eat outside.

I forgot the mans name who works at the desk behind the main check in counter. He is married and building a house in Varanasi for himself and his extended family. I had a train ticket from Varanasi to Calcutta but no confirmed berth # - he was able to get me a berth # which was great fully appreciated by me!! If I come across his name in my notes I will write another review.

Great value hotel in good location in Varanasi

Stayed for two nights at Hotel Buddha. Staff were extremely helpful. Room very spacious and comfortable. Good location for main attractions and 1.2km to the ghats. This is an excellent value for money hotel in a good location run by lovely people.

A stay made special.

Only stayed 2 nights in Varanasi, but this hotel and it's staff made the time special. Their guide took us to all the mystical and spiritual places and events. We would have been lost and struggling without their help. We experienced the Sun rising through the mist over the Ganges like a magnificent Red Ball of Fire. And we were there before anyone else! I hope to return to Varanasi again and will definitely stay here.

not worthy for the price. In the same rate i have stayed in hotel surya which is not comparable. Everywhere gives a cheap feeling.Room interior is not comfortable. Professionalism was lacking. However the staff were very polite.Vijay was helpful and a great guy.
