Large and welcoming attic in Valtournenche

"Sperando di non far ingelosire la proprietaria, Costanza, la ritengo ormai la mia seconda casa, visto che vi ho soggiornato per quattro volte in sette anni, sempre in estate. Il perché è semplice: è una mansarda deliziosa (se non avete problemi a dormire a "un palmo" dal soffitto), in una posizione ottima, perché panoramica, abbastanza tranquilla, e non lontana dal centro abitato, cosa sempre utile. Pranzerei/cenerei sempre su quel balcone... Costanza sempre gentile, disponibilissima e attenta a fare in modo di farti trovare a tuo agio in qualsiasi situazione. E poi, la Valtournenche ha sempre qualcosa di nuovo da proporti, senza contare che in un tempo ragionevole, con l'auto, ti ritrovi a fondovalle e puoi andare a goderti le mille altre bellezze della Val d'Aosta. Insomma, mi sa che non è finita qui :-)"

"Amazing new hotel at the entrance of this beautiful ski town. Great modern yet warm rooms, beautifully decorated, and we loved the bed. Superb service, from the front desk to the restaurant. The shuttle service to anywhere in town and back to the hotel worked perfectly thanks to Davide and rest of the team. Great pool and spa, and a wonderful breakfast. For dinner, our group didn’t like the dishes in the panorama restaurant. We all thought they can get a better chef and increase dish size. I am also a little conflicted on the need for AC with the massive heat waves in Europe in recent years. The hotel is at 2,000 m altitude, but we still had to sleep with the balcony doors open at night. Obviously, this is an issue affecting all high-mountain lodgings in the Alps. Overall, an outstanding hotel with beautiful facilities, excellent service, and a perfect location. We would gladly stay here again."

"Great communication from Stefano prior and during our visit, including restaurant recommendations. Clear instructions of where to park, store skis and where the bins are located. We booked two apartments for our group, Dansketinde and Kanjut Sat. Both were spacious and clean with great amenities and had everything for our 3 night stay. The sofa bed was also the most comfortable sofa bed I have slept on.The accommodation is located approx. 10min walk (or 2-3min drive) from the gondola station. It was also approx. 10min walk to some bars, restaurants and shops which is ideal.There is a small car park located 4mins walk (en route to the gondola car park) where you can join the end of Red Run 1 which saves having to carry skis down to the gondola station if you plan to walk. You can also finish the day here making it quicker to walk back to the apartment.I would recommend staying at Esprit Carrel for family and friends and look forward to visiting again soon."
