We should mention
- Liked: Cleanliness
Excellent staff, friendly efficiency, even spotted birthday from passport on check in and sent gift of chilled fizz to room
- Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
This was almost the perfect place. It was amazing for the views especially from the 4th and 5th floors. I would have rated this stay my top one or two places Ihave ever stayed if one thing would have happened with a decision from the front desk person. My second evening was ruined due to being locked into the pool toilet for 40 minutes because of a faulty door handle which locked me in. There was an SOS button which is a good idea but it was broken as well! Eventualky after banging on the door and yelling at the top of my lungs a hicker heard me and came to my aid. When I advised the front desk the lady did offer an appology but any first class resort would have offered some form of compensation like a complimentary dinner or something. It was lucky for the resort that there was not a medical emergency as they would have had a big law suit on their hands. If they had offered some sort of compensation and treated my wife and I to a nice dinner I would have overlooked this fact in my review for the hotel realizing that my experience was very upsetting to myself and my wife and showing us they were really sorry and not just a verbal appology.
- Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities, room comfort
The hotel is located on the main road between Valldemossa and Deia. The 'mountain view' room does not have a view of the mountain or trees, simply a road. This road is very loud and noisy and has HGVs and traffic all night. We stayed 3 nights and asked if we could pay for another room and the hotel were not able to accommodate this. The lady at reception said that it should be quieter at night than during the day (wasn't the case sadly). Would not recommend unless you are a very deep sleeper and if you also enjoy a quiet room.
