Beds are very comfortable. Clean, crisp bedding. Lots of towels. Bathtub fircsoaking tired old bones. Well stocked breakfast was included. Lots of variety and the room is full of windows, for a great view of surrounding area. Very close to the historucal fort and on a bus route.

The overall condition of hotel and rooms is excellent. Seems there was a lot of renovation done in the past years. I was welcomed warmly and breakfast was tasty. Location is good. Despite located right at a Main Street I was not bothered because of good isolation of the windows. Very close to the Camino de Santiago. The only but significant downside is that the hotel restaurant is located on the upper floor. This means all the guests run through the house alongside of the rooms. This brings an extreme noise level to the guest rooms, especially when larger groups of people are having dinner. In the morning you’re being woken up at 6am or earlier by the noisy guest room doors. If one door is shut (or slammed) the whole floor seems to shake. If there wasn’t this kind of noise level, especially from the restaurant guests, I’d give this place a top recommendation. But if you dislike that, you might want to look for more quiet place to stay.

Nice place to begin our Camino walk. Simple bar for a glass of wine and an adequate breakfast. Nothing fancy but good enough.

There was a plumbing problem. No water till the next morning We were I the Camino and needed to clean up after 6 hours of walking. The told us to come get some bottled water in the lobby

Venligt imødekommende personale. Hotellet er gammelt og bærer præg heraf, men det er rent og pænt. Lækker morgenbuffet med alt hvad du behøver. Hotellet ligger meget nær på caminoen.

Hotel grande, mas envelhecido. Quarto tinha cheiro de coisa velha. Desci do trem e fui pedir para deixar a mochila no hotel. Encontrei a funcionária almoçando no balcão da recepção. Mal humorada, foi logo dizendo que aquela não era hora de check in, mas ia me atender. Nunca vi isso! Café da manhã bom! Para visitar a imensa Fortaleza de Valença é só atravessar a rua do hotel.
