On arrival day, after I went to bed at 10:09pm Beth Haun text me that the house did not allow pets. She sent 2 pictures of my my 7 lb dog at door entrance. My family was still up. At 10:58pm Beth sent another text stating she cancelled my reservation and "to leave the property immediately due to violation of house rules. I would really appreciate it if I don't need to call law enforcement". I received these text in the morning at 8:04am when I called her and she told me if I had notified her earlier that she could have worked something out. Contract stated if violation of rules "Expedited" not immediate departure. Finally she agreed I could stay until 3:00 but I would lose my deposit & my 2nd nights stay. We left for a bit & came back at 10:57am to find she had changed the lock code on the door and my dog was held hostage inside. Beth would not answer my calls or texts. I called 911. She eventually unlocked the door remotely. I did break the rules and understand her not allowing the dog on day 2. But her irrational response harmed my dog. And then she punished me my taking possession of my dog? What if I had received the text that night and tried to leave immediately with no where to go with my elderly mother on a cane? She didn't send me the screen shot of Mom walking up the steps? The house smells extremely musty or moldy. The windows are a fire hazard as even though the latches are undone, none could be opened because of numerous coats of paint that have them sealed shut.
