Le Taha'a by Pearl Resorts

8/10 Good
"A beautiful resort, My 2 complaints would be,, with a 5 star resort , the swimming pool was substandard at best. Besides a underwhelming size for a 5 star resort, the siding in the pool was falling apart. Also, to slow of service , and many of the staff did not speak English which made it hard many times to convey our wants or needs"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Vaitoare?
The best area to stay in Vaitoare is along its northern coastline, particularly near the main village centre and extending towards the western side of the island.

This northern stretch is where you'll find the most developed infrastructure, including a selection of guesthouses and small hotels. It's also home to the main port where ferries from other islands arrive, and the area is generally more accessible, with a few local shops and eateries clustered around the village.

Couples looking for a tranquil escape often appreciate the guesthouses dotted along this coastline. These accommodations frequently offer bungalows with direct access to the lagoon, providing a private and romantic setting for swimming, snorkelling, or simply enjoying the views. The calm waters here are great for leisurely activities.

For those seeking a blend of convenience and relaxed island living, staying closer to the Vaitoare village centre is a good option.
When is the best time to go to Vaitoare?
The best time to visit Vaitoare is during the dry season, which runs from May to October.

During these months, you'll experience consistently sunny weather with lower humidity, making it ideal for enjoying the island's natural beauty and outdoor activities. The average temperature is around 26-28°C, and the gentle trade winds provide a refreshing breeze. This period is superb for those looking to relax on the beaches, swim in the clear lagoons, or explore the lush interior without the interruption of heavy rainfall.

Couples seeking a romantic getaway will find the dry season particularly appealing. The clear skies and calm waters create an idyllic setting for watersports like snorkelling and paddleboarding, or simply enjoying a sunset cruise. Many hotels and resorts offer special experiences during this peak season, ensuring a memorable and comfortable stay.

Families also benefit greatly from visiting during the dry season. The predictable good weather means children can fully enjoy beach activities and explore the island's attractions without weather-related disruptions.
