This pension is run by a family. They were lovely and we felt part of the family when we left a week later. The owner cooks for you if you request it. By the way healthy meals, delicious, and well balanced. You can have breakfast as well if you let them know the day prior. I highly recommend this place situated in a quiet area where relaxation takes absolute center place

We stayed for only one night after a week at Bora Bora. Our room was clean, functional, and larger than expected. We had a nice view of the ferry building and harbor. The bed was comfortable; the bathroom shower was large. A suggested improvement would be that the room could use a lamp around the coffee maker/desk area. The lighting in the closets were very bright and we had to open the closet doors to help illuminate the rest of the room. Kudos to the staff who were all very helpful and responsive! The availability of the tropical terrace to hang out after check out and before catching our flight home was a greatly appreciated amenity. There was free WiFi, access to bathrooms, water & ice, shower facilities there. Other guests were nice and respectful when using that space. The price of a comparable room was on the high side by USA standards but Tahiti is very expensive in general. We would return to Hotel Kon Tiki for a short term stay in Papeete again.

very nice Hotel - Food was good. Restaurant staff is very nice but needs more training. Too long of a wait for service and food. Hotel was clean. Rooms were amazing. a Bit far from downtown but there is transportation(Taxi is around $40 one way to airport) Front desk staff was very accommodating and professional. Beautiful people Spa was too pricey and small.

This hotel is ideal if you are embarking or disembarking a cruise ship and that is what we used it for after a disembarkation. It is a 10 minute walk from the pier and easy to find. We had a larger room at the back of the hotel (401) and it cost us £880 for 3 nights with no breakfast. This was a lot of money, but we booked at 3 days notice so we could escape the ship, which was terrible. The room was generally OK with a decent bed, shower, coffee maker, safe, aircon, towels, and 2 TV’s, but the room had some issues, however, nothing worth complaining about. There was a lot of street noise, not helped by the fact that the windows didn’t shut properly because of the retro fitted anti suicide latch that held them open. The toilet was very high. I’m 5ft8” and my legs swung when seated. I noticed quite a bit of black hair hiding in the corners of the room and the wooden floor made your feet black. It needed a wash. There was an odd smell in the bedroom, not the bathroom or lounge? There was an air freshener, but it was loud and woke us the first night and I removed the batteries. Hot water took an eternity to come out of the shower and there was no plug for the basin, making a wet shave difficult. USBs next to the bed would have been a nice touch, but they didn’t work. Staff were fantastic and helped us with a taxi and directions to an ATM and bars. All in all OK, you are not going to find much else at this price point in Papeete.
