"The staff of the hotel was more than perfect: we arrived in an awful rainstorm, and they sent us a shuttle, so we didn’t have to go up to the entrance. In another event, someone at the lobby helped me navigate a Japanese only website to get a reservation for a bus service. The hotel is on a hill, and the upwards road is around 20 minutes from the bus central. It’s much - much! - easier if you have a car. "Wow, the views from the onsen were sooooo nice. And the onsen was incredible. The room was also excellent (Japanese style futon), and both dinner and breakfast were great and full of options. Plus, this is the best jumping off point to get into Shiretoko national park. Highly highly recommend!!!"
