Mountain Momma Hideaway

  • Secluded Cabin with Hot Tube Within Driving Distance To Multiple WV Tourist Spots

    Mountain Momma Hideaway is your cabin for all occasions when visiting Wild, Wonderful West Virginia! Located in a central area to all things exploring and adventuring, the cabin accommodates up to 5 people on beds, more with air mattresses & and sits on 3 private acres.

    The cabin includes the following: keyless entry, a 12ft x 20 ft back patio that is literally in the woods, complete with patio furniture and with a hot tub with jacuzzi jets. A fire pit, large front porch with porch swing and Adirondack chairs, a large driveway, and everything you'd need to feel right at home. Luxury, eco-friendly sheets and linens, fully-equipped kitchen with the Keurig and coffee pods, board games, a desk, dressers, all shower needs (by request) and even some fun extras can be found at the cabin. There is Wifi for you to stream your favorite streaming apps or music. Most cell phone providers have service here.

    There is a king bed in the loft, a queen bed in one of the main level bedrooms and a twin in the other. There is a queen-sized air mattress if you need it. Just tell us to leave the sheets out!

Rustic getaway

The cabin was just what we were looking for. The hot tub was great and the location is close to hiking, climbing and lots of places to fish. There is no TV, and the wifi was hit or miss, but we were looking for a weekend away to unplug so this didn't bother us at all.

Great for the whole family

We had a great time staying at the cabin! Everything was simple and the trip was really enjoyable. We brought our 2 dogs and 6 month old baby and felt very comfortable here. We can’t wait to come back and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the area as much as we do :)

Christmas stay

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mountain Momma Hideaway. All the amenities are as described and the pellet stove kept the place so warm and cozy. The kitchen was very well stocked for our holiday meal cooking. The hot tub was an excellent reward after an afternoon of hiking Cave Mountain- Redman Trail. Would stay again.

Lovely secluded cabin

Very cute cabin and well appointed. Ideal fir the two of us. Best hot tub we have experienced in a cabin and good fire pit. Host was super responsive thru the entire process.

Family get away

Excellent place to stay, quiet place. Relaxing place to unplug and just enjoy family company. Hot tub was great after hiking all day. Plenty of towels for family of six. Beds very comfortable and appreciated the fans. Thank you again for sharing your cabin.

Anniversary Forty-Six

We had a great time at the cabin. The hot tub is super nice. The setting is very peaceful. We visited Seneca Rocks nearby, Fort Mulligan (an earthen Civil War fort), and The Grove Coffee Shop. The owners were very helpful and communicated quickly. Highly recommend this spot!

Mom Break

Three of us who are now empty nesters decided to take a break together. The cabin was exactly as described and exactly what we were looking for. We played games in the evenings, soaked in the hot tub. We headed to Smoke Hole Canyon for a hike one day too. Highly recommend!!

Everything was great The owner was super responsive and helped us resolve few very minor problems promptly. The location is great giving you absolute privacy. Wonderful place for 23rd wedding anniversary

My husband, myself & our dog really enjoyed our stay here. It’s located in an area where you feel secluded yet within 15-30 minutes you can be in the small town for groceries or to take a hike on one of WV beautiful hiking trails. The owner has a very well stoked kitchen for cooking as well as they’ve decorated the whole cabin to where it’s warm & inviting. The beds are comfortable, too!! We will definitely be coming back and have already recommended to some of our friends & family. You won’t regret booking this adorable cabin.

The cabin in the inside was nice. The bed up stairs was amazing. You just sank into it!! The problem we had was with the outside. The weeds was taller then my grandkids which made the woodticks over whelming! I live in the country. I understand there’s bugs but I also understand if you take care of the yard and cut it back the bugs wouldn’t have been as bad. Also the hot tub smelled like mold and what appeared to be dirt was floating in it. We left 2 days early of our 4 day trip!

An unexpected big snow/ice storm hit a week before our stay, and the communication was amazing throughout to make sure we felt comfortable with going. We did still go, and we were happy that we were able to, because it was a nice peaceful getaway! There was ample kitchen supplies and bedding and I loved the cozy atmosphere!

We had an excellent stay. While at the cabin, we spent the majority of time outside. We enjoyed the fire pit, the hot tub, and the swing on the front porch. A few comments for improvement would be the front door not locking, no check-in or check-out instructions, and the cabin is in dire need of a dusting. Additionally, a grill would be a great asset. Aside from that, we enjoyed our time and would stay again. Thanks!
