Staff: friendly at the desk.
Exterior: parking lot adequate size and well-lit, parking kind of awkward for larger vehicles but manageable.
Interior: Nice lobby area. Security cameras. Hallways were clean; Had room with double beds were large. Soft and firm pillows on each bed. Beds OK. Fold out couch-just a place to sit; kind of low. Fridge, microwave worked. Flat screen TV-decent size.
Bathroom: enough towels for four and were clean and fresh;
WiFi: a bit slow pokey at times, but it was free access to all.
Breakfast: average but nothing unusual; scrambled (liquid carton) eggs, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy (for those who like it), juices, milk, yogurt, waffle maker, coffee, toast, muffin, danishes etc. Went late with 0.5 hour left and staff was still replenishing food.
Traffic: almost every where you go in the University City area, there's one road or another under construction, so allow yourself 15 min extra to get to your destination
Very nicely surprised- the room was a bit small, but for one person like myself, it was accommodating enough.
I also like the nice, rounded shower stall vs traditional bathtub. Room was clean, ample channels and I also like the fact that the television was directly in front of bed vs to the side like i have seen at other hotels. Breakfast was adequate and well-stocked. I will return for sure!
Research thrives in University Place, with the University of North Carolina at Charlotte at its core. This state school harnesses brain power to find engineering, chemical, and nanoscale breakthroughs. IBM maintains a large campus a mile west of the university. Nearby, the Lowe’s Motor Speedway can lure more than 160,000 spectators during race days.
