"This pet-friendly house was the perfect place for a late-June home base for our UP adventures. Having laundry available was especially helpful after riding the dusty trails that were also muddy in spots. When we were there, the only AC was a 4,000 btu window unit in the living room. It didn't get over 70 degrees during our stay, though, so it's possible more units are added as the weather warms up. There's also a dehumidifier in the kitchen to help with humidity. This location is close to Konteka, a convenience store/restaurant where you can get your trail permits, dinner, and some supplies. It's also close to the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park Visitor's Center where you can get single or multi-day Michigan Recreation Passports for parking within the parks."

"This is an amazing place to say. Ryne is a great host. We had the best time…The property is all you could ask for and more! Plus there’s the absolute best pizza place called the Outpost right down the road."

"This was a great base for hiking in the Porcupine Mountains. The owner was available and responsive. The photos are accurate to the property. It was such a great place to unwind after a long day of hiking. We will have great memories of this trip."
Clean & Cozy family friendly cabin close to the Porcupine Mountains~
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was comfortable and clean. Location was terrific! Cabin was well stocked with the necessities. Hosts were friendly and responsive. Already looking forward to staying here again."
"This property had everything we were hoping for and more. The house was fully stocked with everything from games to books and essentials. The house was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The hot tub was a perfect end to our days spent hiking."
"Ideal location for touring the Porkies. The house was hard to find at first, but the information the owner shared made it easier. The house itself was nice and served its purpose. The two issues we had were the kitchen's cleanliness and the TVs being hard to operate. The homeowner did waive the one-night fee for the issues, which was very nice. The TV in the family room wouldn't stay on, and the one in the bedroom needed a charging block to use the Roku stick. There was no TV remote, and the Ruko remote did not control the TV, so we had to get up to power it off or adjust the volume. Once I figured out the family room TV wasn't working, I switched the Roku remote to the bedroom so we could turn the TV on/off and adjust the volume. Overall, I would return here."
"We had a nice stay here. White Pines is a tiny town with only one restaurant, I think. There is no cell service through Verizon in town. Thank goodness for the Wi-Fi in the home. Make sure you print out or somehow save your instructions for how to get into the house because you won’t have Internet service to look it up when you arrive. (unless your carrier has service, Verizon did not.) We appreciated the kitchen was nicely stocked and we were able to cook breakfast and make sandwiches for lunch. We also were able to use the washer-dryer, which was nice to have. We were able to tour around the entire area in just three nights/2 full days. We enjoyed all the waterfalls and the hikes."
