"This very clean and comfortable cottage is in the country a short drive from Sainte Emilion. Quiet, pastoral setting. It was out base for drives in the area and for a relaxing time at the end of the day. We opted for the breakfast which was very reasonable and delish - yougurt, fruit, pastries, juice and coffee. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. The furnishings were modern and comfortable. Everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay."

Chambre D'hôtes Château de Lussac
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, 29 reviews
"Property was unique and just what we were looking for - a quiet and secluded location after a grueling flight from the USA. One needs the comfort and quiet in order to try to recover some lost sleep/jet lag. The chateau offers the additional benefit of producing some amazing wines at very reasonable prices. My son, the connoisseur, approved of Chateau Lussac 2016. "

Auberge de la Commanderie
3.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, 294 reviews
"Pros are that it's right in the middle of Saint Emilio so big plus. Clean property. Cons-Very small room-at least ours was. we learned there were larger rooms in an annex across the street. Wish we had known that. It's almost a B&B...biggest complaint was the morning staff person. Very unfriendly, very unhelpful. Seemed to either hate her job and/or hate guests. The afternoon/evening person was terrific-almost the complete opposite. Though it worked out, taxi availability is an issue so figure...

"Creaking floor in an attic room wasn’t great. Nice view from the window, if you were very small. Tricky staircase to deal with and very low ceilings in corridor. Looked like a fabulous room was unoccupied on ground floor but we weren’t offered it (even for a price) Hostess nice and helpful but no English. Continental breakfast was nice. Great location"
