"Staying for one night meant I wasn't looking for 5 star,The Sun is in the heart of the town,ideal for my needs. As expected its an old building with an old feel. Free parking was good,checking in at the bar wasn't a problem but some people might not like it. My room was on the top floor to mitigate noise from a very busy and noisy bar ,again it didn't bother me but some would be pretty upset I imagine. Food was good especially the breakfast,usually I get buffet style but this was fresh and...

"What can i say, everything was perfect. Upon entering the building using the very clear instructions and getting our key, to entering the room. Room 2 Coniston. It was absolutely spotless, very spacious with a nice homely feel to it. Kitchen area was really good, all the appliances and accessories we needed. Very comfy & large bed.

"Fantastic location in a very picturesque setting with a lovely little river flowing across the bottom of the field. The Shepherds hut was spotless with home made cakes an eggs supplied by the owner. The only thing that spoiled it for us was the chemical toilet smell that seemed to linger around the hut and we had to burn a lavender candle (provided ) to take it away. Not sure if it is normal for it to smell strongly but looking at previous reviews , probably not. "
