"The cottage was easy to locate and the outside was graced with beautiful trees and potential outdoor activities. The indoors was inviting and tastefully decorated. We planned to prepare most of our own meals and were thankful for kitchen appliances, including a hot air fryer, that were modern and worked well. Cupboards/drawers were stocked with a variety of ceramic dishes, adequate pans, and utensils, etc. We loved the sauna and its wonderful cedar aroma as well as the hot tub. The beds had very comfortable sheets, blankets, and pillows. The bathrooms were top notch and included everything we needed, including an abundance of towels. We packed light so we were thankful for the clean and updated laundry room in the basement. There is a great selection of indoor and outdoor games/activities.An impressive detailed informational book created by the hostess included everything from information on how things worked to emergency info, to her contact & property info as well as tourist sites and grocery stores in the area. The cottage is located on a dead-end road so plan on driving to your destination. Some areas outside could use some sprucing up but overall we enjoyed our stay and, if in the area, would not hesitate to stay there again. Thanks to our hostess for a job well done."
Waterfront catskills farmstay in a 19th Century historic home on an Alpaca Farm
10/10 Excellent
"Fun house to get away and enjoy life on a farm. The owner let us feed the animals and gave us a full tour and left us farm fresh eggs to enjoy. Nice walking trails and canoeing available. The house is old but nicely updated, very charming and clean. Fresh flowers from the farm in almost every room. Books and games to enjoy. We sat on the patio for hours enjoying the views. Close to kingston and rhinebeck, perfect location for a girls trip or family get away!"
"I reserved this property and then received a cryptic message stating it was not available for the days I booked. However, the owner never gave a refund and has not responded to messages from me or VRBO. Beware of phony listings!"
