"The staff were excellent especially those in the restaurant who were constantly very helpful & attentive. The food, especially the breakfast was good & the location with an outstanding view is amazing. Our stay was let down by the rooms which we felt were disappointing."

"Pros Beautiful location with spectacular views. The cottage was very clean and provided everything we needed. The breakfast at the hotel was so delicious and the staff was beyond accommodating. Con’s The first night was very quiet, but the second night we heard talking from both sides of our room until 2am. The bed wasn’t super comfortable. The shower is really small. I tried to communicate with the owners a few times and never got a response. Overall, this was a great stay in a beautiful location and I would recommend it when visiting Isle of Skye. "

"Dale and Fiona were wonderful hosts. The property is in a nice quiet location close to Quiraing and Portree. The room is very nice with amenities including a stocked mini-fridge along with the updated bathroom. There is a separate breakfast / dining area as well. The public road to Cleadil House does have a few potholes to watch out for. Overall, excellent stay."

"Truly the best property in Portree. Yes you are outside of town centre, but it is within a 10 minute walk which we easily did a few times. The hotel was incredible. My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon and the pictures do not do it justice ! It is by far one of the most romantic places I’ve stayed . Of course ,the weather was amazing when we went ;but it was so cozy and charming , especially waking up to the sunrise . The room was clean and efficient, all we really needed . Very sleek without being pretentious . Now let’s move on to the hospitality. Paula was incredible . The best service at a restaurant I have received in Scotland , and up there with many fine dining establishments. We were late coming in from our tour and were worried about missing dinner , but she was so gracious and accommodating, we felt so comfortable and at home . This level of service is so rare and with both my husband and I working in restaurants, it was not only greatly appreciated, but truly made our whole experience . If you want to be pampered in the highlands and feel truly looked after, I truly recommend this property . One of the high lights of our entire trip . Thank you to all the staff ! It was truly Devine"

"Check in - smooth & easy - however I was asked for my CC details including the CVV. Personally not come across this before & unsure why CVV was required, potential issue there for data breaches especially as the CVV was stored under 'guest name'. I have since cancelled thay card just to be safe. I handed over the details as i was knackered and asked them to delete later, which they said they did but cant verify. Room condition - really nice, clean and comfy bed, nice bathroom. Simple things could improve the raring, like... loose floor tiles in the bathroom could be fixed easily with re grouting (not a big job). Breakfast - Excellent. Really really good. Lots of choice and cooked really well. Location - perfect. If you come to skye you will pass here at sompoint. The views are amazing from the hotel or on the bridge nearby."
