"Very nice place. The people were very accommodating and helpful. Would recommend the private safari the drivers are really good."

"Had an excellent stay at the property, staff were amazing and had everything we needed, everything was well maintained, pool was great, highlight was the safari which we booked through the property. Would definitely recommend staying here. "

"Positive Review Had a wonderful stay at Hantara Udawalawe. The place was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with excellent facilities. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to provide great support. The peaceful surroundings and overall hospitality made our stay very enjoyable. Highly recommended for a relaxing family getaway!"

"fabulous secluded location, AMAZING staff. Gorgeous food. -the staff go way above and beyond in hospitality. please DO use their official guides an drivers that follow the same mantra."

"Very clean room.Lovely pool. The hotel is out of the way near the river. We loved the tranquil setting. Apart from our safari trip (which was arranged by the owner) we didn’t leave the hotel, which suited us because the food provided at the hotel is delicious. The only negative thing I would say is they could do with upgrading the recliners by the pool. "

"Staff very helpful, lovely resort "

"Staff were lovely and so welcoming. Rooms were clean and the grounds were beautiful. The location is peaceful and relaxing "

"Clean room and nice setting. Very friendly owners. Great breakfast included and also had a lovely dinner there as well. Well located for the national park. "

"La Pentera is a new property which has a unique concept of a tree house. The property is quite far from the Udawalawe National Park - about 30 km or so. The directions are also unclear, even if you use googlemaps. The property is new and in great condition. However, there are things that could be better, especially the food. The bathroom has hot water though there is some water leakage. A great experience stay but could be better."

"Beautiful hotel with amazing staff. We had a great time"

"The welcome at the Sihilro Regency is second to none. We felt almost like family. The home cooked food offered is really fantastic, exceeding the standard in most of the hotels we stayed in. Arriving over the new year weekend, we were slightly concerned that onward travel would be difficult but they helped us find a taxi at a very reasonable price. We also used their in house Safari and the driver / guide was brilliant. Highly recommended."

"Agthira river camp was excellent. The staff were all friendly and the room was so nice. Looking onto the river was very relaxing and hours were spent watching the monkeys. The buffet in the morning and evening was great. The safari was booked via the hotel and was a great experience."

"staff bent over backwards for us made sure we were constantly happy! food was amazing, over all amazing vibes "

"Great place to stay. Extremely helpful staff. Facilities were surprisingly good. Handy location to elephant transit and national park. Nice pool. Highly recommend."

"We stayed for two night cause were visiting Udawalawe national park, which is about 30mis away so the hotel is a very good basepoint. Hotel is a walking distance from bus station and town central. Arrived and got complimentary drinks, super nice welcome and info of jeep/driver arrangements for the safari. The safari is a couple of dollars more expensive if you get it through the hotel but so easy, I highly recommend doing it that way. You get breakfast to go and the jeep and driver were...

"Great location! Centrally located, super nice hosts (family led hotel), nice breakfast and a comfy, nice room! :-) Thank you!"

"Did send an email to expedia, saying we did not stay, because of unhygenic rooms and facilities not working. "

"Unfortunately I am not able to review Dil Lanka Safari Resort, because when we arrived, the manager was very surprised to see us and said that he had no booking from us (three people, two rooms). Ultimately it was resolved (with help from our Sri Lankan driver) and we were given our money back (booking was prepaid). The grounds looked nice, so you could take your chances, but make sure you do nót prepay your reservation."

"Everything was very good, especially the staff. The lady on reception was fantastic and helped with train tickets. The pool was clean and inviting in the sun. The buffet food was okay, sandwiches were the best choice from the menu options. Safari was great, no need for a guide as our driver pointed out lots of things. Would recommend."

"Nice room and location. Good value for the price. Kind and helpful staff. Check in took lf 10 minutes but afterall we came before 12 (check in time) but all was great."
