Friendly management, pretty good location in the heart of Ubud down an alley, and it's a good value for what you get. We don't sleep with AirCon on, so the fact that the room only has a ceiling fan was fine for us. The garden is still under construction/landscaping, so the whole place feels a little bit like a construction site: for example, the pool was open, but surrounded by landscaping. I think once it's done this place will be a very charming place to stay
It was in a good location, but the room definitely needs remodeling. The doors cant close completely, you have to put a stick. There were ants all over the toilet.
The breakfast was okay and the pool area was nice.

Interesting complex set in beautiful grounds
This complex is in beautiful gardens with pool and lotus pond and temple, it is down a quiet street and close to major sites in ubud.Unfortunately there is building work at the back of the complex but was told it should be completed early next year and it wasn't noisy and finished by 4pm, It has basic facilities and breakfast and no toiletries are provided but for the price and location I would stay again and would recommend
To hotel walk 2 mins from main road and small way to hotel. May be hard in night time for lady alone. Hotel is good, green, clean and pool is good also. Bed is old but clean. The date I was here in raining, so my bed has ants. I sleep not well but overall is ok. Breakfast has homemade pancake with coffee / tea and fruits. I booked for standard fan room is ok, the weather is 20-23'c night time so no need to turn on fan. Will come back again. Thanks.
Nice hotel can walk to Ubud market and Ubud Palace
It's my second time to stay here because i love the garden and swimming pool, all the staff are friendly and helpful..next time i will come to stay here again.

Beautiful and quiet
We really enjoyed out stay. The Swan Inn was clean and comfortable, very quiet and safe. It is conveniently located close to everything but on a one off little alley, well clear of the bustle and crowds of Ubud.

Not expecting us, however very accommodating
Due to a "computer glitch", which was consistent with every HomeAway property we stayed in , the property was not able to get us our cottage, however they did have a room for our use. Unfortunately the room was very close to the check in office and very noisy and over lit for sleeping. They did help us get a driver to go to the airport the next day. They were very clean and comfortable.
We loved Swan Inn. It's convenient to the center of town but tucked out of the way and quiet. Beautiful traditional Balinese styling, very pretty garden, clean pool, good breakfast with great coffee and excellent service. Very good value for the money.
The place is okay in general. Located in the centre of Ubud. Close to Art market, palace and eateries. Room is quite spacious. Unique design for each unit. I love the pool in the garden.

Liked: Staff & service
Very excellent service and helpful staff
To be honest, I didn't know much about the area, the staff gave me many good suggestions!
We had a nice stay at the hotel for the price, but the sheets could be renewed as they are pretty old. Also, being next to the pool and the rice fields, it seemed a lot damper at night than compared to other hotels.
The swimming pool and garden area are the best in town though.
The Swan Inn is in a great location in Ubud within walking distance to the heart of the city. The exterior of the Swan Inn is lovely with the garden and quaint Balinese houses. My only complaints are that the room was poorly lit, the sheets on the bed quite stained and dingy, and no toilet paper in the room. Also, there were a ton of kids staying there with their families which could be easily heard in the morning. I also got SO many mosquito bites despite covering myself in repellent since there is space from where the walls end and the roof begins. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful arranging day trips and it had a nice Balinese feel with the traditional homes as rooms.
After getting lost with a 15kg bag on my back in 28 degree weather, a quick dip in the swimming pool surrounded by immaculate gardens at Swan Inn was just what I needed. From the moment I arrived, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for me. In the centre of Ubud but down an alleyway off the main street which is perfect when I wanted to get away from the crowds and simply relax. Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace, Arts & Crafts market and a ton of amazing vegan and vegetarian restaurants are all within walking distance. While my room was fairly basic, it was huge, clean and tidy. Breakfast is included and was delivered to my balcony each morning. I highly recommend the banana pancake! My 2 night stay turned into 6 and I will not hesitate to book again when I return to Bali in 2017. Overall, if you're like me and prefer to immerse yourself in local culture rather than book 5 star resorts, Swan Inn is perfect and excellent value for money.
The hotel was disappointing in a number of ways.
The reception desk is not manned and finding staff was difficult.
The deluxe bungalow was spacious but had no glasses and no free water was included.
Breakfast is served in the room but was fairly limited in scope and size.
Access is down a lane way with uneven ground, pot holes and broken covers on open drains - take a flash light if you go out at night.
