This resort was absolutely amazing. The garden villa with pool was unbelievable. The staff really took pride in making sure all request was made. Everyone from the front desk to security was kind, welcoming and pleasant. Absolutely would stay here again.

Was looking forward to this stay for over 5 years! Totally devastated by the reality. Don’t be fooled like I was by the lovely instagram posts! The hotel is very tired and none of the selling points are even open! 2/3 of the hotel is closed and under renovation and the remaining 1/3 is very worn and tired. The lagoon and the Forrest swing were both closed as part of the renovation. I wasn’t made aware of this at the time of booking! Pool was cold and pretty dirty. The pool ladder was basically falling off, felt like it might go every time I got in and out the pool and I’m very light. Staff felt like they weren’t that interested. They don’t even bother to put pool towels or cushions out, we had to ask. Reception staff were lovely but it definitely wasn’t a 5 star experience. It should be closed for the renovation! It felt like it was running on bare minimum. Very bad accessibility for those with children or disabilities. Lots of stairs, no lifts! About the only thing going for it was the location! Very disappointed indeed! A warning to look elsewhere!!

Beautiful ground with friendly staffs. The property is very clean and the surrounding is tranquility with the view. food is really good for breakfast and dinner. We like staying at our bungalow with private pool and out door cabana with daybed. Complimentary drinks and canapés in the evening. Free yoga in the morning on the canyon above the river. I would definitely stay there again. If you need a place to relax and unwind, this is the place. It’s not far from the village center of Ubud.

The stay was excellent, although there are two points I would raise to the hotel management to make our stay better. The front desk wouldn’t book outside taxis for is, which would be usual in other hotels and the room was checked while we were still packing and before the checkout time, this would be done when the guests are checking out not when they are in the room, was quite awkward. Thanks, these are small points but can help the hotel be better.

The property itself was very lush and green. It is beautiful to walk around. The pool suite was wonderful. We liked the pool and the inside of the suite itself quite a lot. The staff is helpful and kind. However- this place is in desperate need of an upgrade and facility renovations. What you see on Instagram is not reality. The overall aesthetic is lacking the taste level is questionable and the cliental is low budget.

This is the worst hotel experience i have ever had. We booked a villa which provided afternoon tea. And my husband and I had it but my parents didn’t. We both GOT FOOD POSITIONING. we ate ceviche and juice there. We pretty sure it’s the food there gave us food positioning because my husband didn’t eat anything afterwards. And we both still got the same symptoms such as diarrhea, vomit and chill etc. I told the staff there and they just kept saying it’s not their food problem. They even kept saying it’s the food we ate outside were not clean. But we kept telling them the same story that the food we ate outside was at a cooking class and no one had problem. Turn out, we didn’t get any response and they just left at the check out. I DEFINITELY DONT RECOMMEND TO STAY HERE. Because the food here is not clean.

Not a 5 star hotel
The best thing of this hotel is the landscape. Check in was bit slow. They offered welcome drink with a wet wipe! For a five star hotel a cold towel should be provided. The lobby was hot...No fans. Room was spacious and nicely designed. The bed is nice but the floor is broken. The sliding window doesn't close well and there is a space where insects and lizards can come inside. The bathroom is big but in need of immediate renovation. The outdoor shower is nice. The property needed more care. So many places are abandoned and it's hard to find the staff when you need help for direction. Most of the staff's English is poor....Although they are kind and trying their best to help when you ask them but they look over tired. They look trainees not professional. The main pool area is ok but the food took ages to arrive. The infinity pool was cold and the floating breakfast was generous. The staff at the Indonesian restaurant were kind but need more training. No daily programs or anything you expect from a 5 star hotel. This hotel should be 3 star NOT 5. For the room price I paid I expected much much more from this hotel. Sorry...I will find other place to stay in if I visit Ubud in the future. The best thing was the massage at the jungle with the swing.

My husband and I stayed in Kamandalu's Chalet room. The room was beautiful and well-kept. The cleaning crew was excellent! They cleaned our room in the morning and prepped our room at night (let the mosquito drapes down). They offered the best breakfast buffet we've ever had. They had a large variety and always kept the food fresh. The morning free yoga is a must! Aside from the beautiful scenery, each instructor provided a little peace and magic to our day. I love how the resort offered many relaxation spots, from hanging swings in the spa's quiet area to picture-perfect lounge areas. Keep in mind that this resort is slightly far from Ubud's art center, which is perfect for a relaxing time but not so much for exploring Ubud. They did offer free shuttles throughout the day to the Art Center, which worked perfectly for us. One notable thing we noticed is that many of the resort's guests were repeat guests. This demonstrated the resort's commitment to quality customer service and property care.

Magic Place
This is one on the best hotels I have been with my family ever. The concept, villas within a Balinese town make it beautiful. The hotel staff is very very nice and polite. They are always looking to make your stay as much pleasant as posible, and there ara a lot of small details along your any that will make you fill more and more comfortable. If you like yoga, I hardy recommend y the to visit the Yoga pavilion early in the morning it is just magic.

The hotel is not overstated, and has great energy. Staff really friendly and cute - other guests nice too. Some really great views, fantastic free yoga and an amazing spa in the forest. Also love Ubud - very spiritual and artistic area. Traffic a grind but that's the whole of Bali for you, especially at xmas
