I chose this hotel because they advertised a gym. There was no gym available and I asked for some compensation but they refused. Also if you cannot do stairs DO NOT choose this property especially since the stairs are uneven heights and the outside lighting nearly non-existent - very dangerous for most people unfamiliar with the property. If you fall, it will be onto stone steps. The most discouraging thing was when I expressed dissatisfaction and asked staff to address my concern, the answer was always the same - I have to call the manager and will call you on your room. I was never called and can only assume that once I walked away, staff considered the matter closed. I’m really considering disputing the charge for the room as the service was so poor and the facilities not as advertised. Another interesting fact is that no one ever apologized for the false advertising so I guess that’s how they do business. Go to Westin or somewhere more reliable IMO. P

We felt pampered, with our every needs considered by the super helpful staff. The setting is stunning and the atmosphere is peaceful, while the center of Ubud is about a 15 minute walk away. The price for all of this is incredible reasonable. This hotel is a fantastic deal.

Biggest Bang for your Buck in All of Bali
Amazing from start to finish. I can not believe we got an entire villa with a private plunge pool to ourselves for $200/night. When we checked in late that night, we were starving, and without us asking for it, they had a sandwich ready for us in our room. The bed was comfortable. The pool was refreshing. The public pools were beautiful. The entire resort was decorated nicely and made you feel immersed in the local culture, rather than feeling like you’re back home but happen to be in a foreign country. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. Highly highly recommend

Excellent service and location. Garden view suite is located in 3 storey building so not really villa. Very disappointed with false marketing, so not be returning here. Positives: Otherwise, front desk, room service, massage & spa, shuttle bus was excellent. Negatives: Breakfast was very poor. Bread basket, jam, french toast, bacon, chicken sausage were all terrible. I've stayed at about 10 resort/villas over last 10 years and Dwaraka had worst breakfast. So too many negatives for us. Had good memories but not enough for us to return.

We loved loved loved our stay here. The room is absolutely spacious even with an extra single bed in there. The villa we were given had a gorgeous area between the front door and the main villa. This area wrapped around the villa and had loungers and also a table to eat out. The villa has both an indoor and outdoor shower. It also has a gorgeous outdoor bath. It is a bit pricey in terms of room service compared to what you pay outside but that’s expected. In addition the room service for dinners was a bit hit and miss. Some dishes were great others not so much. We loved the brekkie in the mornings, the welcome massages and the afternoon teas. Would definitely stay here in the future

Amazing property, the staff is very friendly and helpful. We booked the 2 bedroom villa with private pool in July to celebrate our 25th anniversary with our two grown kids. We loved the place, the setting and its tranquility. The staff had set up flower bath and romantic flowers on our bed ready for our arrival. We had also arranged a romantic dinner by our poolside, and the staff couldn't have done a better job with setting the place up with flowers and candles (took them 2 hours) and serving our dinner. The staff was very accommodating with our needs and helpful in coordinating with our driver for our tours and the spa for our massages. Highly recommend Dwaraka, and if we ever come back to Ubud, we will definitely stay here again.

The Dwaraka was only 4 years old but had a fantastic old world jungle feel, the grounds and Architecture were stunning but with the facilities of a very modern hotel. The staff were excellent and food very good. Would definitely stay here again.

I highly recommend this property. It is GORGEOUS and the rooms/villas are amazing. The staff is wonderful and super accommodating. There was a baby in the room next to me and as soon as I mentioned it to the staff, i was upgraded to a private villa which i was extremely grateful for. The massage i had in the spa was one of the best i had in Bali and the free shuttle service was the cherry on top! If i return to Ubud, i will certainly be staying at Dwaraka again.

We wanted to stay longer!
I wanted to stay in Ubud for my birthday and I found this gem of a hotel. The staff helped my bf surprise me with a room decorated with balloons and rose petals...the staff even came to the room to sing and present a cake. They really made me feel special and continued to show excellent customer service thru out our stay. Dwaraka itself is beautiful. It sits in a rice field and its architecture lends to the lovely tranquil landscape. We stayed in a standard suite with balcony overlooking the infinity pool. The suite was spacious and well decorated. The jars filled with homemade cookies were delicious and I always looked forward to the talent of the room attendants who would position whimsical towel animals around the bed. A must visit is to the spa...we indulged in the spa twice. The massages were heavenly! Everything that Dwaraka executed was done with professionalism and in perfection. They helped us coordinate a half day city tour when our original driver stood us up and even assisted us with transportations that were outside their free shuttle to town service. I was truly impressed with all the staff—from reception, restaurant, spa, room attendants to shuttle drivers...they all provided excellent service. We would have stayed longer than two days but had already booked for a villa in Nusa Dua to round out our Bali visit. But there is no doubt... next time we are back in Ubud...Dwaraka would be our first choice!

Deserves it's reputation - we had a lovely stay
There are lots of lovely places to stay in Ubud, and choosing one is not easy. I hoped that Dwarka Royal Villas would give me a touch of luxury without high cost of some of the swankier establishments. I should not have been worried for our first arrival it was charming, calming and offered the hoped for luxury. We stayed in a One Bedroom Pool Villa. The villa had a large airy bedroom and equally large bathroom. The monsoon shower was fabulous. The room was well equipped and the power adaptor, complimentary daily fruit bowl and non-alcoholic mini bar were lovely touches. The private pool meant we had a quiet stay, but the two shared pools looked inviting and never crowded. We ate at the hotel twice (a dinner and one lunchtime). The food was very tasty but found the portions a little small. They either need to increase the size or reduce the price. It did deter us from further use. The service from the staff though was faultless. Daily breakfast was excellent (la a carte not buffet due to quieter season), again staff were great. DRV offer a free courtesy shuttle to and from Ubud centre from 10am to 10pm on the hour, every hour. We loved its efficiency and simplicity, DRV provide a mobile phone to call and request the return pick up. The drivers were friendly and their driving faultless. DRV provided a great stay and we both came back chilled and grateful for the hard work of the staff to make our stay such a success. It deserves its fine reputation - would recommend

This place is pure bliss. It’s like a different world when you walk through here! The staff are so lovely and helpful, with a foot massage on arrival! and the breakfast is delicious with lots of options for both food and juices! The best poached eggs I’ve had! I can’t comment on other food as I didn’t visit the restaurant during my short stay apart from breakfast. Our room was very big, with a beautiful bath, shower area and TV with Netflix and other apps - a great touch for those who like watching TV in the evening. The swimming pool was beautiful too! The only downside which avoids me giving top marks is that we asked for a queen bed, and just got 2 singles pushed together. The mattress and pillows were quite uncomfortable too, and I only got 5 hours sleep over two nights because I could not get comfortable. We also had some noisy customers staying above us too which kept moving furniture and banging too which was a shame. I would suggest getting actual queen beds to kept with comfort as running on little sleep is not nice; especially that a hotel is booked so you can sleep.

Amazing Ubud Villa
Stayed in the presidential 4 bedroom Villa in March 2018. The villa is amazing and the private infinity pool was clean and well maintained. The staff was excellent and provide free drop off in ubud. They provide each guest with a cell phone so you can call them when you need to be picked up. The entire property is a hidden gem and has a very authentic Balinese feel but is adapted to western comforts. Food from the restaurants and the included breakfast was outstanding. All in all a top recommendation and great experience.

Romantic getaway
Dwaraka is a perfect oasis for a romantic getaway. The Villas are wonderfully private, overlooking lush vegetation and rice fields. Waking up to views from our bed over the infinity pool was amazing. We stayed in a one bed villa. So spacious and luxurious. Excellent service and a delicious a la carte breakfast every morning.

Friendly staff and nice villa
Booked for a one bedroom villa but upgraded to a 2 bedroom villa. Use of upstairs balcony was a plus with a good view of surrounding fields and greeneries. The private pool was smaller than expected ( I think it's bigger in the 1BR villa one) but can't complain as the villa as a whole is awesome. Private courtyard with 2 loungers; outdoor toilet, shower and bathtub(covered of course ;) do need a bit of getting use to in the beginning and does look a bit 'dirty' with green moss but it's a tropical country, what can you expect right :) Free hotel shuttle to main strips of Ubud; walkable distance to the centre but looking at street conditions, not that great to do so. The chooks and rooster(s) next door can be a bit of a nuisance with the rooster going all out with its 3am crowing...Didn't seem to disturb my BF but I'm a light sleeper. Overall,truly enjoyed Dwaraka and its staff hospitality, friendly bunch.

Oasis
Beautiful hotel, well located out of the mayhem of the town centre. Unbelievable service- the guys there bought a surprise cake for my girlfriends birthday, and when our taxi to the airport didn't arrive the team rushed us into town to pick up another so we didn't miss out flight!

Ubud's exquisite secret
Dwaraka is an exquisitely beautiful place to stay. We were lucky enough to spend 5 days in December in one of their beautiful villas with a private pool. Every small detail is enchanting. The frangipani tree planted strategically overhanging the pool so that with each breeze the pool is decorated with flowers. Beautiful antique Balinese furniture .The huge bathtub in our private courtyard to soak under the stars. Beautifully presented delicious meals. But what made this holiday even more special was the lovely friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful.

First time to Ubud Bali, we run a five star B&B www.glenriddinghouse.com we were delighted to stay at the Dwaraka villas the place is a little piece of paradise, the staff are the nicest people you could ever meet. Free in house taxi to Ubud. There has been a lot of thought put into this exclusive hotel. It exudes a very relaxed atmosphere

ウブド王宮から1.5㎞ほど北に位置する静かで落ち着いた環境のホテル。 ホテルへの入口部分は若干狭いが、広い敷地の中に複数のバリらしい建物が点在する。 フロントの女性は、英語が苦手な者にもわかりやすい英語を話し、対応も親切丁寧でありとても感じが良い。 そのほかのスタッフも皆礼儀正しく優しい。 部屋は広く清潔で、設備面も十分。 朝食はオーダー形式であるが、メニューにあるものはどれだけでも食べることができ、とても美味しい。 自転車は無料で貸し出ししている。 ラグジュアリーな気分で寛げるホテルであり、宿泊代もそれなりにするが、概ね見合っていると思う。

Klasse Hotel mit liebevollem Garten, schönem Pool und überaus freundlichen Personal. Einzig die Beschränkungen des Frühstücks geben zu denken. Dass man sich zwischen einem Saft und Obst entscheiden soll und nicht beides erhält, ist für ein solches Haus unwürdig.
