    We are family owned cabins nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. our cabins are less than one hour driving distance from attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Crabtree Falls, Montebello Fish Hatchery, Oak Ridge Estate (Infinity Downs/Lockn'), Wintergreen Ski Resort, Rockfish Valley Restaurants, Wineries and Breweries, Walton's Mountain Museum, and the Appalachian Trail. We are also within an hours time of Lexington, Lynchburg, Charlottesville, Staunton, and Waynesboro, Virginia. All cabins are modernly equipped and ready for your stay.     The cabin sleeps up to 4 people, but perfectly suited for a romantic couples stay.
    Bedrooms: 1 Queen Bed in main bedroom, and 1 Full Futon in living room.1 full bed on lower level. There are spiral stairs to lower level also there is a outside entrance if one would prefer.

My sister, husband, and I love Deer Run! It is so peaceful and comfortable . Fall is the perfect time to get away to the Crabtree area. The leaves were gorgeous and we enjoyed nightly outdoor fires with our friends at Hawks View.We will definitely be back!

Adorable cabin

We had so much fun at this cabin, our first trip since my husbands OHS.....took the boys snowboarding at wintergreen and loved the drive to and from the cabin. Went to crabtree falls and had lunch at a brewery.......we will be back.....wonderplace and the scenery is so beutiful.

We have had friends stay at this place multiple times, and it always provides a wonderful experience. From the outdoor deck overlooking the stream to the walk down to the river to the quiet contemplation inside the house. The hosts are wonderful and responsive. We will be back.

Really nice stay

Wverything was very nice. Tidy, clean, nice furnishings and all. The house is located up a single lane road that turns to only gravel, which is fine but could be intimidating to some, so just be aware of that. Really enjoyed the stay and would come back.

Yearly family vacation

We rented all 3 cabins in a row, this is our 6th summer, the first year it was just my husband and I, we told family about it now everyone comes! Once you go you never want to go anywhere else! We walked the trail behind Deer Run and spent our days on the river! At night we would have bonfires and all have dinner together!

Can't wait to go back

I had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean, all amenities worked as expected. The property is well kept. Great recliner to Strech out on, the bed was so comfortable I slept 10 hours first night. The sound of the river when sitting on the deck was so southing and relaxing. Great for morning coffee. The trail down to the river is a nice stroll not much without having to drive anywhere. Plenty in the area to do Crabtree Falls, Blue Ridge parkway, vineyards, etc.

Great getaway

I was so pleased that the home was as cozy as the pictures. The nearby brook and swimming hole were steps away from the property. The listing was accurate as listed. The property owners were sweet and attentive to our needs. Loved it and hope to go again when I am back in the area.

We absolutely loved this property. It might look a little small on the outside but is very spacious. It is beautifully frnished and had everything we needed and more. A nice escape

Sometimes you just want to get away from the city, even if it’s just for a couple of days. This is the perfect set up for just that. We were able to relax and enjoy the sounds of the water and nature while still having everything we needed to cook and to take a hot shower after a day of hiking nearby trails. The property is just as pictured and actually had more space than I had thought it would. Received a call from the owner asking if I needed anything and to enjoy my stay. I would recommend this spot for anyone that just wants a nice, peaceful escape and to be with nature.

Cabin in the Woods

The cabin was in excellent condition and very clean. The depiction on Vrbo is accurate and the cabin contains all the needed amenities. We had immediate contact with the host who offered information and assistance (though none was needed). The stream or brook is near enough to provide a backdrop of pleasant sound and the leaves were just beginning to fall - altogether a very relaxing environment. While the cabin is a little remote, there are interesting day trips available in the region to places like Crabtree Falls and several wineries and breweries. The cabin in the woods is a great place to escape and relax!

Mountain cabin with the sound of the water all around.

Deer Runs is a lovely cabin surrounded by forest. The tall hard wood trees fill the air with the best smell. I did not want to leave. I stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the best sleep on a most wonderful bed. The great window by table was mesmerizing. There was so much to see. And, I love the sound of water. It was everywhere . I took my hiking sticks and this 63 year old went down the trail to the river. Steep but, I did it fine. This place seems magical.

The cabin was great. The location was great. We started a fire in fireplace the first night. When we opened the damper for the fireplace, there must have been a bee's nest in the flue so we chased bees in the cabin both Wednesday night and Thursday night. We decided not to have a fire Friday night so we didn't have to chase bees. Also I don't think the broiler element works on the oven.
