The Mermaids are flipping our tails in excitement over our newest Mermaid Cottage! Beach Haven Cottage is a vintage, historic Tybee family beach cottage with tons of history, character and charm!
This ground level cottage offers 3 bedrooms, 1 sleeping loft, 2 baths and an amazing back deck to relax and enjoy the Tybee beach breezes, cocktails and Mermaid Morning Bliss (MMM Bliss!) coffee!
Beach Haven Cottage is on the beach side of Butler Avenue, so you don't even have to cross the main street; just walk a few steps from your cottage and your toes are in the sand!
Beautifully renovated and recently re-decorated by Tybee Joy, this Mermaid Cottage offers everything you could need to enjoy an awesome Tybee beach getaway: A perfect blend of the vintage and the new, it maintains the vintage pine paneling of historic Tybee cottages while also offering updated furnishings and kitchen that will provide guests with a unique beach stay!
Beach Haven Cottage sleeps eight with two bedrooms with king beds, one bedroom with a queen bed, and one sleeping loft with 2 twin beds (NOTE: THE TWO TWIN BEDS ARE UPSTAIRS IN A LOFT OVERLOOKING THE LIVING ROOM SO IT'S NOT A PRIVATE BEDROOM SITUATION), 2 full bathrooms, a spacious, kitchen which is fully equipped to prepare beach snacks or a full coastal feast to enjoy in the cozy dining room or enjoy dining al fresco out on the deck! Enjoy your complimentary sample of Mermaid Morning Bliss coffee; a special perk for all Mermaid Cottages guests! The glass patio doors open onto a wonderful, spacious deck that offers a great outdoor space to maximize your options for enjoying your time with us on Tybee.
This is a truly special cottage and you will fall in love the moment you walk in! Even from the outside, this cottage exudes charm with the greenery growing up the wall, the deck and the beach just steps will quickly become a favorite Mermaid Cottage!

Note: This is a ground level cottage, but does have interior stairs that lead up to the sleeping loft with the 2 twin beds.

Great getaway!

We enjoyed our stay at Mermaid Cottage. Close to the beach and shops and restaurants. Safe and quiet. Very friendly host and she checked on us multiple times to make sure we are comfortable and if we need anything. Strongly recommend.

Great location

My overall impression of the house was that it was in a perfect location and it comfortably accommodated me and seven others. The staff was incredible and responded quickly to a situation and rectified the problem in a professional manner. I look forward to staying with them again!

It was a lovely older home with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, fans and air conditioning that worked well and lots of space for the seven of us. We loved all the seating areas. It was just a five minute walk to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. We really enjoyed staying there for the week!

Tybee Family Vacation

To be honest, I was a little hesitant regarding the layout of the house… But, upon walking in on arrival, it was very very nice!!! Communication before, during and post visit w Mermaid Cottages reps were fantastic! We were within a pitching wedge to the 17th street beach access ramp! The IGA grocery store was 5 blocks away! Perfect location!!!!!! Thank you Mermaid Cottages for a great trip!! We will be back!

The home was comfortable and clean, with attractive furnishings. We enjoyed the short walk to the ocean with beautiful views. We visited nearby Savanah and the many interesting sites and restaurants in this historic city. The home does have a small apartment connected to it, but the residents are quiet. This beach community offers a pleasant atmosphere, and the local sushi restaurant is top notch.

I have SEVERE respiratory allergies and Mermaid Cottages works with my issues to cleaning products and pesticides. They always call to check on us during our stay. I HIGHLY recommend Mermaid Cottages for your Tybee Island vacation rental!

Had everything we needed plus some. The home was very clean, the rooms were spacious and there was plenty of storage space to tuck away our belongings. Loved the outdoor patio and small storage area, great for storing all our beach toys. Also convenient to have a hose nearby to wash all the sand off. There is plenty of on-site parking. Easily fit 5 cars on our visit. The beach is literally right down the block. Easy walk for active folks, maybe a tad difficult for chronically ill, older or the disabled. Thankfully, there is drop spot right at the end of the road if they need to be driven. Super easy access . You can’t get much closer than you already are by simply walking out the driveway. Perfect location with restaurants and shops within walking distance as well. The pier is just down the way and the town hosts occasional concerts and actually had fireworks while we visited. Last but not least, I can’t say enough about Mermaid Cottages. Wow! Just wow! They went above and beyond every step of the way. Professional and knowledgeable. Quick to respond and even checked in on us. I would highly recommend this home and company.

Beach Haven

We loved this property and it was perfect for our family! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were great. The location can't be beat, the beach is half a block away and you can walk to restaurants and shops. The porch is great for relaxing with morning coffee or eating outside. We would definitely come back and stay again!
