Beachy perfection

My family and I loved staying at the cottage. It smelled delicious and was super clean. Everything about it encouraged us to relax. The location was perfect and we were able to easily explore the town.

Great house and location

Loved the screened in porch! House was a good size for my husband, myself, and our dogs. It was a great location. Rented bikes and didn't move the vehicle the entire trip! Mermaid Cottages were communicative and friendly. Would stay here again!

Great time at the beach!

Our family of four (+ dog) had a great stay at Pura Vida. The size was perfect for us, it was very clean, and the kitchen was well stocked with all of the cookware we needed. The location can't be beat—just a short walk to the beach and restaurants, while still being in a quiet neighborhood. And Tammy from Mermaid Cottages took great care of us. Highly recommended!

Perfect!

This is a cute house with an awesome screened porch in a great location! The house was spotless and had everything we could want or need. The porch is relaxing regardless of the weather and the picket fence is perfect. The beach, sound, grocery store, shops and restaurants are all walking distance. Highly recommend!

The location on the bike route was wonderful for watching bikes cruise by in the mornings and evenings, and it was a quick walk to the beach. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone.

Home Away from Home

We loved our stay at Sea Largo- it truly felt like home away from home. The house was just lovely - warmly decorated and just the right size for our little family. The outdoor space was just as great and I spent many an afternoon relaxing on the screened in porch. The house is just a short distance from the beach and is located on a cheerful street that is also along the main bike route. Family friendly area and a short walk to shops and restaurants. You do want to bring some extras such as extra paper towels, toilet paper, soap, etc because additional supplies of those are not available. However, that did not take away from our experience and the awesome memories we made. The ladies of Mermaid Cottages were very responsive, kind, and great to work with. We would definitely stay again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we opened the door to Pura Vida we were so impressed with "our house"! It was so clean, several new appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher) and just the overall feeling that this house has been well cared for between our visits from 2023 to 2024.The location in mid-island is perfect for us, just a two block walk to 12th or 13th street piers, a block away from the IGA and a nice stroll to all the happenings on the Strand. Tami is a top notch management rep, always available by phone with help or advice to all things Tybee. The snow flies today and it is cold in Ohio...can't wait to get back to Pura Vida!

Fell in love with this house and Tybee Island!

Great house for our family of four. Cozy but not claustrophobic. Very clean. Enough hot water for our teens and us plus the water pressure is great. Did not cook but ate out at Tybee's restaurants. Coffee blend provided by Mermaid Cottages was delicious. House is located on a residential street but within walking distance of beach access. Still, rec renting bikes or a golf cart to make exploring the island easier(parking is limited and the police don't hesitate to ticket). House is surrounded by a 3 foot white picket fence which is great for corralling small children and non jumping dogs. Absolutely loved having coffee on the screened porch in the mornings. We used this room the most during our stay and much appreciated the comfy porch furniture. Only 2 complaints: 1-the master bed is extremely creaky. I could not get up early without waking my hubby. 2-a house is currently being built across the street and the workers arrive at 7:30am with loud equipment. Even with those complaints we would definitely stay here again. Such a wonderful house!

It is always so easy dealing with Tammy and the other Mermaids. This was our first stay in Pura Vida and we could not have been happier. Close enough to walk to the beach, and on a quiet street which allows for enjoyment on the comfortable screened in porch. We enjoyed the lovely decor and our dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard. I would never hesitate to recommend this cottage to future visitors.

This home has everything a person could want; 2 full bathrooms, an outdoor shower, and a large screened in porch. My guests enjoyed the peaceful setting and easy access to the beach as much as I did.This is the fourth year that I have stayed in a Mermaid Cottage, but not my last. Once again, Mermaid Tammy and company took care of every detail before and during my trip, making it feel like home! The consistency in superior customer service sets Mermaid Cottages apart from other rental property businesses.

First time on the island, the house is exactly as described. It’s a cozy cottage two bedrooms, nice living room room nice screened in front porch and a fenced in yard for your dogs.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This sweet house was perfect for our small family (including the dog)! It was clean and well stocked and a great location! Easy to walk to beach as well as restaurants and coffee! Unfortunately we had some very loud parties next door, so the night time was super relaxing but the morning on the porch was great! But that happens and it was no fault of mermaid Cottages! My only suggestion is to put things like shampoo and conditioner and soap in the shower. Maybe the containers that attach to the wall so none walks off with it ☺️ otherwise, excellent!

Both times we had an exceptional experience with both the cottage itself - very clean, great appliances, comfy bed, beautiful screened in front porch - and Mermaid Cottages staff. Communication was excellent from the moment we reserved the unit, during our stay to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, and even after we checked out. We are looking forward to renting Pura Vida again next year!

Adorable little house

Amazing!! Two weeks before my family’s weeeknd away, I received a personal phone call from Tammy making sure I was all sent for my upcoming rental. I had never had such a great experience. Will continue to rent with them.
