Beach-Chic Apt. for Two - SLEEP NUMBER BED - Porch Rockers - Short Walk to Beach

UPSTAIRS / The tastefully-decorated newly-renovated, Tybee Time apartment has a complete kitchen with stainless appliances combined with the attractive living area that features a full sized sleeper sofa for a plus one. This bed is not suitable for anyone over 6'. Two barrel-shaped, comfortable red sitting chairs are made for relaxing, reading or watching television, which has DVD capabilities. The bedroom accommodates a queen size Sleep Number bed with adjustable firmness mattress. A spacious closet with shelves, suitcase stand and coat racks provide plenty of space for clothing and personal items. The screened porch has two comfortable red rocking chairs that are just right for a relaxing finish to your day in the sun. An energy efficient, ultra quiet Mitsubishi heat pump AC/heat unit offers plenty of heat during cold months and plenty of cold air conditioning in the summer. Ceiling fans inside and on the porch gently move the air as well.

This apartment is just right for a couple or a couple with a small child or two adults and a close friend who doesn't mind sleeping on the sleeper sofa. The downstairs apartment may also be rented to allow for plenty of room for family and friends.

On the south facing wall is an incredibly beautiful ocean life mural designed and painted by world renowned artist Mary Jane Volkmann who was assisted by owner Cathy J. Sakas. On the front of the cottage the sassy Octopus watches over her Lair.

Our nightly rates vary with the seasons and include a two-night minimum, plus hotel/motel taxes & fees (see rates). Discounted weekly and monthly rentals are also available.

Perfect location & accommodations for a beach trip

We enjoyed the location for walking distance for the beach & restaurants.As well as the kitchen simple meals. We previously stayed at the bottom level both were equally enjoyable 😊

Located in such a great spot. Short bike ride from beach, right on the bike trail and down the block from the IGA. It is small but was perfect for me and 2 kids. Very clean and the bed was very comfy. Would stay again!

From booking to check out it all went well. The owner was very on top of everything with her descriptions of the property and any extras I had questions about. It located perfect on the block as far as traffic and ease of coming and going. It’s close to everything but not too close to get all the noise. I would rent this property again!

I love the 2 block walk to the beach! Fishermen’s pier was a gold mine of a find! The red rocking chairs on the porch is my favorite place to relax & people watch!!

Great location

The location of this was perfect for us. We were centrally located to everything that we wanted. The neighborhood was very nice and everyone around was very friendly. Communication with the owner was superb and very well explained in all the messages.

Octopus Lair

This was the perfect location for the St. Paddy's Day parade at Tybee!!! Owner Awesome to deal with on everything ! Great neighborhood for peace and quiet. Great for biking and golf carts. So close to restaurants and shops we walked everywhere ! We used shuttle to Savannah on Monday and it had a pick up site about two blocks away from away away

Great location and has everything you need!

Walking distance to downtown and beach. Just park your car and go explore! 2nd time here and it doesn’t disappoint. Bed is so comfortable and a good shower. Will be back !

Amazing as always!

I first traveled here last year to Tybee and this is my second year here. Cathy the owner is truly amazing and this is a great walk to things close by even the beach!This year we got to see two ospreys perching up in the trees on the property, what a sight to see!This is very clean, just our size and again, Cathy the owner amazing and friendly, close to things in walking distance. Great place to stay and visit for a while and even make a friend or two! I would highly recommend.We look forward to returning again on our next visit there.

This was about 5 blocks from beach. Everything seemed dated but for the price it was worth it. It was cheaper than anything else and it suited our needs. If you want high end this is not the place for you. If you want a functional clean place that is worth the money, this is perfect. Cathy will respond quickly if there are any questions. There is no bbq grill which disappointed us but it is also not allowed. Rules are rules. We didn’t care for the sleep number bed and it was to far from the beach for us to walk and take all our junk. Other than that, it was a good rental for us

Cozy, Comfortable, and Clean!

We enjoyed our seven night stay at the Octopus Lair last month. We found the accommodations to be perfect for myself and my husband. Wonderful location close to beach and grocery store. So relaxing rocking on the screened in porch, listening to the morning birds and enjoying the evening sunsets. Cathy responded quickly to any questions we had and the check in/check out was super easy. The washer and dryer on site were very handy as were the beach chairs. Loved watching the bike path activity and experiencing the Tybee Island vibe! Our first visit won’t be our last!
