"My wife and I spent 3 nights at Iron Gate Hotel & Suites. We both highly recommend the hotel. Great location for walking around Old Town. The famous 15th century clock tower is a few minutes away. The hotel restaurant was excellent for dinner! We requested to have their $8 per person breakfast offered each day in a small room next to the kitchen. It was very good and would have cost much more outside the hotel. I liked the convenience of coffee and breakfast in the hotel before starting our tours. Retired couple from Florida"

"A very nice stay overall. I would have no hesitation to come again. Good value with breakfast included. There was no queue for check in. This process was smooth overall, apart from filling out a form on an iPad which only displayed the nationality options in Polish, despite the other questions being in English. The single room was compact but did not feel claustrophobic. The heating system functioned well. The room was very clean apart from 1 stain on the duvet cover on the 2nd night. It was not there on subsequent nights. There was a safe, as well as a carafe to fill up water from the water dispenser located near the lift. I liked this. The WiFi was OK but the signal was a little weak especially near the window. Bathroom was small but had a great shower which didn't leak much outside the cubicle - a flaw a lot of other hotels have. I would have liked an extra face/hand towel though. There were slippers which is always nice. Bed was comfortable and it was good that 2 pillows were provided as each one was rather soft so I doubled them up. The breakfast quality was uneven. Some items were excellent (yoghurt, sweet pastries/cakes) but others were average (grilled vegetables which were oily). I did like the menu to order hot dishes. The gym was slightly disappointing, but only because the hotel advertises fitness as a key selling point. I expected a cable machine which would increase variety of exercises. Location is top-tier, 5 min walk to the Rynek! But calm at night."

"If you want to visit Wrocław, this is excellent value for money. The rooms are no frills, but clean and new, with a little kitchen and a desk to work. There is a restaurant downstairs and several in the area. About 20 minutes walk from the old town square. Keep in mind that this is a dorm so there are mostly college students and young visitors to the city. My only complaint would bet that I woke up a couple of times in the middle of each night to the sound of young ladies in high heels walking on the bare concrete floors. The sound is surprisingly loud. Otherwise, money well spent."
