"I loved the hotel and service they provided. Although from the moment I checked in - I was told I would be in a different room which sort of upset me - they offered us a welcome mimosa and then told me we would be in a different room which made me happier and they told us we would be moved to the original room by day 2 of our stay. On day 3, we were moved to another room which was honestly better because the AC in the 2nd room did not work as well. They use WhatsApp to communicate and meet your needs and are respond quickly with your needs. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the drinks! I also got massages and they were one of the best messages I’ve gotten by the beach. The only thing I would say is to watch out for roaches, crabs, and insects in the room. Personally I don’t like insects or animals in the room but if you’re up for that then you’ll love this hotel! Also - they help out with transportation from the airport to the hotel. Thank you Qamar for making Tulum an enjoyable experience."
"Apparently, we took a room on the off season. It might explain why the staff might have been lax. Regardless of that, this was a five star stay anywhere. The hotel is divided in six sections, ours was the kid exclusive part, with a churro stand, playground and water playground. That’s how much the resort caters to kids. And there are sections exclusive for adults too. The adult only and kids sections rarely interact, so everyone wins. What made the stay five star was the outstanding staff. They were all exceptional."
"Overall a fantastic location. To no fault of Be, the mosquitos are insufferable. They provide bug spray but it does not work. There is wearing of the structure of the rooms, allowing bugs in. BUT the resort is beautiful. Food was fantastic. Employees were even better. So nature of mosquitos as well as seaweed is tough to plan for. Perhaps a different season of travel would be better for those minor things."
"The location was great, it’s inside Tulum national park. I understand that the beach is pretty much unsuable because of the seaweeds (I go to tulum every year since 2023 and the last time the beach was swimable was 2023). I know we can’t do anything about how nature decides to dump all the seaweeds in tulum but I’d appreciate if they make there pool clean and swimable.
We ended up transferring to another resort but I got to give all the staff credit they were all nice and helpful.
The food was really top notch and amazing."
"The Copal is the kind of place that reminds you why you came to Tulum in the first place. Surrounded by jungle, it feels wonderfully close to nature while still being within easy reach of everything. The area is quiet, peaceful, safe, and very walkable.
Our room with the rooftop plunge pool was absolutely fantastic. Visiting in July, when the beaches were covered in sargassum, having our own private oasis made all the difference. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed.
The staff were genuinely friendly and always happy to recommend local restaurants and attractions. The on-site bike rentals were another highlight—they’re the perfect way to explore Tulum at your own pace.
If you’re looking for a relaxing stay that feels authentic rather than overproduced, Copal delivers."
"We went here to celebrate a family members anniversary this past Valentine’s Day weekend. What a great experience this was! From the moment we checked in and were offered fresh cold cocktails to all the points in between. The staff and their attentiveness was amazing. The food was great, the bars were great, the activities were fun, and the location was beautiful. Definitely a great vacation at a great price and we would definitely visit here again. Forgot to mention everything was included… yes everything."
"The place is beautiful and very spacious. The only complain I would give is the water pressure wasn't the best. But beautiful place to stay, also the pool on the rooftop is very nice!"
"A Perfect, Serene Escape: A Review of Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya
If you are looking for a true sanctuary to disconnect, unwind, and completely reset, the Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya is an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, the entire resort exuded an incredible sense of calm and privacy. Even though it's a world-class property, it beautifully avoids that crowded, chaotic mega-resort feel. In fact, it often felt like we had the entire place to ourselves—a rare and luxurious experience that made our stay feel entirely exclusive.
The Highlights of Our Stay
World-Class Hospitality: The staff here are truly amazing. Every single team member we encountered was genuinely friendly, attentive, and deeply committed to making our time excellent. Their warmth and hospitality elevated the entire trip.
The Spa (A Absolute Must!): Do not skip the spa services! The spa is an architectural and wellness masterpiece. Booking a treatment here is a non-negotiable part of the experience if you want to lean into full relaxation.
Delicious, Intentional Dining: The culinary experience was fantastic. Every meal felt thoughtful and high-quality, with food that genuinely tasted like it was prepared with love.
The Verdict: If your goal is to trade the noise of daily life for peaceful, private luxury, top-tier service, and incredible food, this resort delivers flawlessly. We left feeling entirely restored and cannot recommend it enough."
