"No swimming towels made available, told to make use of our bath towels. Swimming pool was dirty with crickets and dead frogs in it. The bath towels are old and hard. The bedding is stained with old marks. Paint is peeling off walls in unit. No-one emptied dustbins over a 2 days stay even though we placed this outside. Wine glasses on the shelf cracked. Iron was rusted and marked out clothing. Remote control for gate not working. Did not need or want to hear Receptionist’s work history....

"A relaxing rural retreat in a Victorian farmhouse with attentive staff, excellent food and located in the most wonderful setting with plenty of birding and wildlife opportunity. We enjoyed cycling around the working farm and the special nature reserve Ensure that you have clear instructions to find the farmhouse (don't rely upon Google Maps - as we tried to do!)."
