We tried starting weeks before our stay to book a venue at the Lowes for my wife's 60th birthday. Despite the calls, messages, e-mails, and speaking with converge, front desk and even hotel security, no one would respond with options or venues for my wife's birthday. So, we had to book a venue at another locations for us and our 18 guest.

This is a wonderful resort for a relaxing vacation. I have stayed at this hotel several times and have always had an outstandingly positive experience. The rooms, the grounds, the amenities are all excellent. I love the ability to get dinner in the lobby/bar area, and to have my quiet, friendly dog with me. My only two suggestions are: First, more breakfast options for those not attending group meetings or conventions, such as a breakfast buffet or counter to order simple breakfast items. Second, more walking paths around the property, so one need not tread on the golf cart paths.

Room was average. Not very clean. Found item in room from a previous guest. Location was beautiful with access to great hiking. Lacked amenities - wanted late night food and nothing was available. Front desk ultimately gave us a nutrabar.

I was extremely disappointed with the dining and restaurant options. The only places to eat were two restaurants. One was fine dining where one should expect astronomical prices and reservations, the others place to eat was a combo bar/food area that only had 4 entrees and very limited selection. The resort is now specializing in conferences and corporate meetings. We traveled to restaurants in the city for most of our stay.

Secluded setting against the beautiful mountain. City / valley views nice at night, although I thought we paid for a mountain view room and will specifically request that next visit. Grounds are terrific with a paved 10 min walk up to a beautiful waterfall.

The views were absolutely beautiful. Parking was a bit of a mess towards the end of our stay but in order to create more parking you would encroach more on the land so I understand you cannot have both.

I really enjoyed my stay. It’s in a quiet, picturesque location right next to excellent hiking trails. The grounds are beautiful & the service was excellent. My only complaint is that you can hear a lot of noise from adjacent rooms. The rooms don’t seem to be well insulated for noise. It wasn’t much of an issue though because my neighbors were quiet most of the time.

This hotel never ages. Been going for years and find something new each time. It is secluded yet close to activities. It is well laid out and tastefully appointed everywhere.

Room was very dark and we were "upgraded" to a room with a view of a tree. Property was nice and people were very friendly, just the room was dark and felt like a cave.
