This is definitely an unusual hotel (motel?). This appears to be an old motel that has been creatively renovated to keep costs down. Loews Ventana Canyon Resort

Casino Del Sol Resort
Room was well furnished but it was a bit dirty. Convenient to the casino playing options. Food at the buffet restaurant was good. Casino allows indoor smoking in one area, so you notice the smoke smell.
