It is a pretty standard, well run Japanese chain hotel with good service as usual. The rooms and the public area is tight and the location is excellent. Tsukuba was fully booked at the time of my stay.

It was a great place to stay in Tsukuba. Next to train station and the mall. Very clean and very friendly staff.

Property was located next to train station so very convenient. Amenities were nice and room was clean. My dislike of the room and hallway was the smell of cigarette smoke even though i requested a non smoking room.

We always stay here more than 10x a year. The location is right next to the station. It’a very convenient to all places. Unfortunately, this time we didn’t like our stay. When we checked in we saw our pillows with 3 strands of hair.

部屋が綺麗で、スタッフの方の対応もにこやかでテキパキしていてよかったです。筑波に来るときはまた泊まろうと思います。 朝、支度をしていると急に靴が壊れて焦りましたが、車で5分くらいのところにララガーデンがあり新しい靴を買えたので助かりました。

The hotel was nice and the staff were excellent. There was no gym/fitness center and no air conditioning (only heat that was too hot). I'm allergic to down (feathers) and they did not have nice options for feather-free pillows.

The reception was very friendly and nice with very prompt response. It's right next to the Q't mall and bus terminal and train station so location is good.

Awesome hotel!
Our stay in Daiwa Roynet Hotel Tsukuba was awesome. It is located near tsukuba station, where you can ride either bus or train. The room is clean and big. Wifi is fast and check in service was excellent. You will get more than what you pay for.

Great location just steps away from transportation and a large shopping complex with some nice dining options. Fantastic staff. One thing I didn't like was the absence of storage in the room - no drawers of any kind. If you are staying for a few days you would want to lay out your clothing, sort used shirts from clean ones etc, and it's pretty much impossible to do in this setting. I do recommend this hotel, it's nice.

As expected by daiwa roynet hotel. Anywhere i go if there is daiwa roynet i would definetely choose this hotel. Room was very clean, very friendly staff, quite spacious room.. this is the second daiwa roynet hotel which ive been to.

A bit difficult to locate even that close.
Hotel and staffs were truly great. However, when you reach Tsukuba Station by the Tsukuba Express (assuming most people would do), there is no direction and/or info/map to show the exact location of this hotel. Even hotel info says that it takes only 1-2 min from the train station, it took more than 15 min (no joke) for us to locate this hotel. In fact, the pedestrian bridge blocks the signboard in front from the nearest exit. Hope hotel would think for the first timer who stay for the first time.

Great place to stay in Tsukuba.
Found the staff very friendly and professional. Went for a conference and found that the location was close to the event and not to far from the station. I used taxis because of my feet problems. but the staff was helpful about information and calling taxi. The bed was very comfortable and rather long for Japan.

The only disappointment was that there was no breakfast on site. That's always one of the highlights of staying in a Japanese hotel.

Convenient and comfortable
An excellent spot to stay in Tsukuba! The hotel is very close to the bus and train stations--seriously, less than half a block away. It's not a fancy spot to stay but the room is comfortable, there are ice machines in the hotel (very important for Americans), and there are useful shops in the nearby malls. I particularly enjoyed wandering around the food hall in the fancy mall. One very nice feature is that the amenities packs are tailored to the hotel guest. The 'lady pack' featured useful bands and clips to use with my hair, plus a great bath soak (VERY welcome after a 15 hour flight). Nice touch!

Nice hotel for business.
Hotel is close to train and bus station. Room has a large bed, however most space or the room is occupied by the bed. There are many restaurants within and near by the hotel. Breakfast is served at one of the restaurant is located 2nd floor of the hotel and it was very good.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. It's quiet in general surroundings. Nice vending machines with ample soft drinks, beers and even cup of noodles. Washers and dryers located in 6th floor with auto dispensing detergent washing machines! I enjoyed a Domino pizza delivered to hotel one lazy, cold day. .

Quality hotel
Very clean and all details are well designed. At the heart of city center and close to shops and restaurants. The only drawback is the small room size, but all Japanese hotels are like this.

Excellent service and location.
Hotel very clean. Staff are very helpful and polite. Shops, restaurants,transport, ATMs are literally at your doorstep. Train is end to end to Akihabara (tech city!) and from there about 10 minutes to Tokyo by train. Bus service to and from Narita airport- about 1 1/2 hour one way.

Perfect hotel

Excellent hotel in ideal location
This hotel is right at the Tsukuba train station and adjacent to a mall with many restaurants. Hotel was efficient, clean and comfortable. It was equivilent to 4 start hotels I stayed at in Japan, except that it didn't have its own restaurant. Being located right next to a mall and almost a dozen restaurants made that unnecessary. Great stay, excellent value.

I thought the chekout time was 12p.m. at the reservation, but it was 11a.m.. They started to clean my room after 11a.m. during my absence without calling my cell-phone.
