This was our second time staying at this adorable little cabin. The perfect little getaway for the two of us. Being close to the water you get to enjoy lots of species of birds. We can’t wait for next year to escape a little part of winter.
The cabin is really nice and secluded! Love the view of the water from the back porch. Everything was amazing! It was the perfect place to stay for the wife and I! We will be back again!
Very clean, comfortable and well supplied. Enjoyed fishing from private pier and caught/released variety of fish. (Bass, Catfish, Crappie and Brim). Enjoyed the wildlife. Saw deer, eagles, ducks, geese, turtles, etc. Several nearby fishing spots and hiking trails.
Great little cabin, extremely clean and appointed with all the basics. Perfect for me, my husband and two dogs. Perfect location for hunting and recreating in Uwharrie Forest. Kitchen has all the essentials for cooking. Can fish right from dock in front of cabin. Will definitely be back:)
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Great location for hiking at Morrow mountain and uwharrie, new and clean cabin, beautiful river views, and fun having campfires with firewood provided. The host was very kind, accommodating, and welcoming. Dropped us off extra firewood and allowed us a late check out. Would stay again.
Myself and a friend stayed at this location to hunt, fish and hike. The property is very well maintained, easy to access and perfect for remote outdoor adventures. If you are looking to unplug and unwind this is the place. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful and peaceful place to stay.
Great WiFi. Very clean and cozy. We have stayed a lot of different places and this is by far one of the best! Bed was comfortable we slept good and well rested in the morning. The design is beautiful. Gives a mountain vibe with the wood detail. Will definitely be staying again. This cabin will not disappoint!
The place was very clean. I requested scent free bedding due to skin sensitivity and it was scent free. They also put scent free soap throughout. Sally was quick to respond when I reached out with questions. I was able to fish, hike, and go horseback riding on this short visit. Can't wait to come back.
The cabin was perfect for getaway weekend. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Went to Bigfoot bar the first night and had a great burger ,came back and enjoyed the firepot. Our dog also loved it! We will definitely be back in the spring!
Thanks Sally!
It was just my husband and our dogs. Quiet and peaceful to unplug from work and life ... just what we were looking for. The cabin was very clean, cool and just the right size. A good way to get back to the sounds and sights of nature that some of us grew up with.

This is a beautiful cabin to get away and relax in. There is a fishing pier. Fire pit. Rocking chairs on the porch facing the river; my favorite spot. We had a nice relaxing couple of days. 5 stars all around.

Property was very clean, quiet and peaceful but if you plan on taking a shower or using the water please be aware of a very foil smell like eggs so its best to purchase drinking water
There ain’t a whole lotta cell service out there but it’s quiet, beautiful, and the property is super nice. The owner seems real nice too.
We stayed for 2 nights and I can say it’s the most bang for buck I’ve gotten on a Vrbo so far. It literally is a 5 minute drive down a gravel road tho, lol.
The property is exactly as pictured and described. Rustic yet elegant. Meticulously clean. Just a stone's throw from the water. Great fishing. Also firewood was provided. Very private. I will absolutely be back again. Also they are pet friendly and my dog Chris had a wonderful time.

Peaceful Getaway
This quaint little cabin was a perfect retreat to get away from it all. We had reliable internet from the house but no cell service until halfway up the lane. Exactly what we were looking for! The dock was a great place to relax with a glass of wine in the evening and the fire pit provided great ambiance to gaze at the stars. Bonus - the firewood is provided! Coffee, filters, and condiments were also provided. It is fairly secluded and we only saw one neighbor one time our entire stay. There were plenty of deer, birds, squirrels, and a family of ducks to keep us company. The house is down a packed gravel road, easily accessible with a car. I wish I would have brought my own pillow, but that’s my preference; there weren’t many extras. That being said, the bed itself was comfy! A couple drawbacks. There aren’t a ton of dishes. We purchased two wine glasses and two juice glasses because all that was provided were four small tea cups. There’s no dishwasher and no dishcloths, so we used a washcloth for the dishes. Because there are few dishes, we washed dishes daily. The biggest negative, which just is what it is with the location, was the water has a high sulfur content! We went out and bought jugs of water for drinking/coffee and only washed our hair once. We planned to do our laundry before we left but decided to pack the dirty clothes and wait until we got home. Like I said, nothing that can be done about it so fair warning to bring your own filter pitcher or jugs of water.Overall the location was great, plenty of beautiful scenery and hiking trails, and pet friendly so we could bring Stormy with us! We look forward to staying again and definitely recommend.
The host was amazing and super kind! The cabin was extremely clean, quiet, and peaceful! My husband and I enjoyed a nice couple days with the pupps and couldn't have asked for a better stay.
