  • Beautiful house on 2.6 acres with 3 bd 2 ba house located a few minutes from the unique and quaint town of Trout Lake. Large yard and pasture with a small creek (irrigation) running through the property. So peaceful and relaxing. We love sitting on the porch and relaxing with a coffee first thing in the morning or after a day of enjoying the outdoors. Guests will enjoy the nearby Cheesecaves and unlimited opportunities for outdoor activities and adventures in the surrounding Mt. Adams Wilderness, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, or Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area. Or just put your feet up and enjoy some rest and relaxation away from it all while taking in the scenery....you deserve it!

Weekend getaway

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location with so much to do in area. Full view of mount Adams a 2 minute walk down the road and walkable to nearby playground. Dogs loved playing in the front yard. Kitchen well stocked. Hope to come back again!

Cozy in Trout lake

This was a nice family style home situated in beautiful pasture land . I stayed for 2 nights and was very comfortable. Clean and well maintained Everything you could need was provided. Great place to stay.

Amazing property

We had a great stay! The house was bigger than it looked in the photos. Cozy living room, fantastic kitchen, comfortable beds and all the amenities we could ask for. The fully fenced property was a plus. We can't wait to go back!

Trout Lake Get-away

Beautiful house with well stocked kitchen, very clean on arrival, and a nice large area for dogs to romp. The location was nice and quiet, yet close to amenities in Trout Creek. Plenty of outdoor activities in the to explore as well, highly recommended!

Trout Lake Weekend

We spent a long weekend at Carol and Ron’s place and had a great time in Trout Lake. The house has a nice kitchen and a great yard with a creek running through it that our toddler loved exploring. Would definitely go back again!

Peaceful beauty!

We really enjoyed our time at this little gem, it was so quiet and peaceful and the beautiful Deer would come right in the yard and eat. The roads were all kept plowed and the little cafe and coffee shop was wonderful! The food was great! And the views of Mt. Adams were stunning! The cozy fireplace in was perfect! Thank you for sharing.

Serene and cozy

Awesome place to stay. The cabin was well equipped with all of the things you need. The property is looming over a beautiful farm. Very quiet neighborhood, perfect place to relax and have a nice glass of wine and just relax. Proximity to amazing outdoor adventures was a bonus. The hosts were great, very responsive. Will definitely stay here again!

Mt. Adams House

This property was well maintained on the outside as well as the inside. It was well supplied with everything you need plus more. The many windows gives you a view of the beautiful surroundings outside. There are many places to explore like the ice caves, natural bridges and goose lake for just a few. We would definitely recommend... you will not be disappointed. MJB

Beautiful and comfortable country home.

Beautiful well appointed county home. Huge fenced yard. Great kitchen with premium appliances. Comfortable bedrooms with a fantastic modern lower bathroom. Wood fireplace heated up the ehole house in 15 minutes. Many windows to open to let the fresh air in. We would stay here again in a second!

Great House - Cozy and Well Appointed

My husband and sister and brother-in-law stayed in February to celebrate my birthday. We did some skiing and went to see music at the hall. Had a gathering of friends come for dinner. The kitchen worked great for entertaining the birthday gathering. Plenty of room to spread out and long dining room table. Highly recommend!

Lovely autumn retreat

The farmhouse is delightful. Quiet and roomy. Plenty of everything and then some (could use ice trays if guests wish to make ice). But more than any other place was there. Walking up the road is quiet and easy. Driving for our autumn leaf peeping trip was super fun. Deer in the yard when we left and a peep at the mountain finished it off.

Peaceful retreat!

This is a great property located in a beautiful area. Wonderful for the whole family, including the furbabies. They loved it! The water from the tap is really cold, crisp spring water. The dishes are very nice, not just cheap put togethers. Great amenities of shampoo, body wash, anything you might have forgotten. Peaceful and great location

Perfect location - close to town center (very small town of trout Lake), yet located in private setting on acreage that is completely fenced and very quiet. Home very clean and spacious with plenty of room for the family. Beds quite comfy and the kitchen has everything you'll ever need. We had our big dog along and worked perfect for him as well. We stayed here for 5 nights and were on the go exploring Mount Adams area during the daytime and the patio was the perfect place to wind down and relax in the evenings. We would stay there again for sure. Tip - if you're visiting Mount Adams for the first time stop by the local Ranger Station and they will gladly give you advice and directions on where and what sites are available (trail heads, waterfalls, lakes, etc). That's what we did and it was super helpful.

This was the nicest home we’ve stayed in and we’ve been renting homes for our vacations for 30 years. We loved the kitchen which is made for a chef. Everything was so well stocked. Condiments, spices, coffee maker that you can make coffee by the pot with grounds or by the cup with your keurig k pods. Every appliance you can think of, even crockpot, we’re all available for use. Livingroom has very comfy sofa and loveseat and chairs. Dining room great for a large or small family. Best of all the view from all the windows wrapping the livingroom in which we watched as deer came within feet of the home and snacked on the grass and the greens growing in the creek. Our small dog absolutely loved his vacation. He explored everything he could and thankfully its fenced so he could just roam free. We truly loved our stay. If you’re considering this hike, consider no more and click Book! I cannot think of anything you won’t like. Even if you’re not a dog person the home doesn’t smell of dog so don’t worry about this home being dog friendly. There was no dog smell, no dog fur and the house was very clean. Exceptionally so. There’s a washer and dryer and an extra amenity that I didn’t see mentioned; there’s a very nice bidet in the main bath. Even has a remote! I hope you have as lovely a time as my husband and I did. We look forward to returning next year or in the spring with our adult children. We stayed in mid October and it rained all 4 days of our stay but it was still worth it!

This home is one of the cleanest we've stayed in, with a well-appointed kitchen and bathrooms. It is a pleasure to relax here, play cards or horseshoes and enjoy the wind in the trees. Very peaceful and a great place for dogs.

The house and yard were spacious and provided a nice setting for spending time with family. The property is fenced, though there are horses on site, so we were advised to keep a close eye on our small dog while outside. The upstairs bathroom had an ongoing odor coming from the drain during our stay. The owners suggested using powder in the drain, but unfortunately it did not fully resolve the issue for us.One surprise was that the owners were staying on the property in a camper near the horses. They were friendly and approachable, but we had not realized they would be on site, so the experience felt a bit less private than we expected from a typical VRBO rental.When we arrived at our 4p check in time, the house was still being prepared because they said the cleaner had not shown up — the owner was finishing the cleaning. While we appreciated the effort to get everything ready, it made check-in a little less smooth than anticipated.Overall, the property itself was lovely and worked well for our family. These are simply details I would have found helpful to know in advance when making a booking decision.We stayed 2 out of our 3 nights.

10 out of 10. A perfect vacation spot for your family and pups. Big space for dogs to run around, a great kitchen and outdoor grill. Everything was clean and ready for you. We loved little details and where everything is located. There is a little town market within walking distance and a great pizza place. We will be back! Next time we’d like to check out Goose Lake for fishing.

the kitchen was big and had everything we needed. the house was clean and we did not have any pets, but it would have been a great place for dogs. it was accommodating and welcoming. it was exactly as advertised. even better actually.Carol the host was really nice and they gave us good advice as to local attractions.Could not have had a better stay there.highly recommended
