The Little Yellow House: A cozy old Faroese wooden house.

  • A traditional, older Faroese house (cosy atmosphere) in beautiful surroundings with a great view of the fjord. 10 metres to the boat dock, where you can fish; access to a canoe and rowing boat (at your own risk); a 5-minute walk from the supermarket. A 15-minute walk from Tvøroyri. A 10-minute walk to the river, which offers excellent opportunities for char and salmon fishing, among other things.
    Fishing gear is available for free use.
    Close to hiking trails. (“Visit Suðuroy” can be of assistance here.)

Charming house on the main road. Grocery stores and gas station nearby. 5 minutes from the ferry so very convenient. The island has some very beautiful scenery which we took advantage of since we had a car.

First of all, I arrived at the wrong "yellow" house (which was probably my navigation app issue - I had the correct address) Anyway, host quickly advised me and the actual location was just up the street) House was very accommodating, did find the stairs very difficult (Steep) to climb (because I'm older) Great thing about this location is the ferry is just across the bay, so I can monitor the timing for its schedule.
