Things you need to know: 1. This property is dog-friendly. A maximum of 2 dogs is allowed. 2. There is another cabin on the opposite side of the property. Guests in that cabin do not have access to this cabin or its surrounding areas. 3. The upstairs loft is not suitable for young children due to the steep staircase leading up to the loft. 4. The cabin is located on a hillside below White Oak Gap Road, so you may hear some road noise through the trees during your stay. 5. There are security cameras on the exterior of the cabin facing the driveway.
HOT TUB: Hot tub maintenance is very important and it's something that we take very seriously in between guest reservations. If the hot tub has to be dumped for sanitary and health safety reasons on a turnover day when the property is booked back to back, it may take 8-12 hours for it to reach high temps. We do the best we can to be proactive with this but ultimately it is out of our control to make the hot tub heat up faster. Health and safety for our guests is very important to us.
CANCELLATION & TRAVEL INSURANCE NOTICE: We operate under a strict cancellation policy, according to this property's cancellation policy. We do not offer refunds for cancellations, date changes, early departures, weather-related issues, personal circumstances, or travel disruptions of any kind. For this reason, we strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance at checkout to protect their investment. Enjoyed our stay, Place was stocked will everything we needed for our stay.. traveled with two dogs and just siting on the front deck and watching the wildlife was just what we needed after sightseeing ...
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was perfect for two adults, our seven year old son, and 14 years old dog. The location was close to Cloudland Canyon, restaurants, and other attractions. We would definitely stay here again.
Hideaway Lodge was awesome! It is so much better than a hotel. The lodge had everything we needed and more. We definitely recommend staying at Hideaway Lodge.
This cabin had everything needed for our stay. The hot tub was a bonus. The location was perfect for any outdoor activities that you wanted to go on. Enjoyed the seclusion and the quietness. Would stay again, thank you :)
The cabin was very clean and a wonderful place to relax. While at the cabin, you feel very secluded, but you have restaurants and stores within 10 min, which was also nice. The loft was great for older kids. We will definitely stay here again!
This was just what we were looking for. Super clean, close to town, and definitely the cabin in the mountains feel. Host was very responsive! 10/10 and we would absolutely stay here again!
Clean property. Very welcoming. Really enjoyed the rustic interior of the home. Very quiet considering it's off of a main road. We had no problems at all! We would definitely stay here again!
I really enjoy this location and its rustic setup. Just right up the mountain from the town and SLTC school activities. Very pet friendly, and our Lady dog loved it. She was definitely living her best life. Such a better experience then a basic hotel, highly recommend a stay! You won't be disappointed.
The time here was short & wonderful. A great location, tucked in the woods , but close to little town Trenton. Very nice place. Many groceries stores, great places to eat. We will be back. Only 15 minutes from cloudland State park & about 25 from Chattanooga. Cabin was gorgeous.. loved the inside. Tub was so nice after hiding. Sad to leave.
The cabin is very well built and maintained. No drafts or anything. Love the rustic decor and design of cabin. Great secluded spot. It was perfect for my hiking trip around Chattanooga. Which was only about 20 min drive. And Trenton was quite close for groceries/gas/dining.
My pup enjoyed it and was nice to be able to bring her with no worries!
We enjoyed the moonlight by the firepit.
Fantastic place! Would highly recommend and would stay again.
The cabin is nice, secluded spot but close to Chattanooga, Cloudland Canyon, golf and more. We loved having the hammock, gas bbq grill, fire pit and hot tub during our downtime at the cabin. There’s a few grocery stores nearby too if you need anything. Cabin has the basics but I would bring anything specific you might need. We brought our own coffee, olive oil, specific seasonings and plastic wrap. Bathroom is a decent size with closed off toilet so it was okay to share but it is just one. There’s another cabin on the property but it’s not too close and feels separate enough. Great that you can bring a pet although we needed up not bringing ours.
I was looking for a cabin in the woods where my friends and I could get away from the city. This cabin was perfect!! It was dog friendly and was exactly what the listing said it was. The manager who over seen this property was also fantastic and got back with me within a reasonable amount of time and answered all my questions. If you are looking to get out of the city, a quiet cabin in the woods or just a weekend get away with friends and your fur babies I would highly suggest this cabin!
This cabin is in a great location outside of Chattanooga but a quick 20 minute drive. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have stayed in. We were only to stay one day as we discovered a leak under the kitchen sink which had started to develop mold. The property manager was quick to respond d and accommodate us to another place, but we all agreed that we liked this cabin better due to the decor and comfort. It was an unfortunate incident and I just wish someone would’ve notified them of the possible leak before us. The owner went over the same day to fix the leak, but we have a daughter with allergies and wanted to let them clear it out. We would definitely stay here again!
I was so worried it was going to look better online, but we were very pleasantly surprised with exactly how nice it was in person as we walked in the door. Great layout and open kitchen. I really enjoyed the porch sitting for my coffee in the morning, afternoon lounging in the hammock, and jet tub to relax at night. Ideal location, with just a hop down the mountain to the stores and main strip. Only complaint is I couldn't get comfortably in the bed to sleep. My son felt similar about staying up in the loft, we just weren't comfortably enough to sleep well. Mattress upgrade or maybe even a foam topper might be something to consider. Overall great stay and perfect getaway while mom son settled into school.

Enjoyed our Visit
The cabin is nice but not as nice as the pictures make it look. We enjoyed our visit. The area is beautiful. Lots of potential for hiking and biking. Cabin was comfortable but did not offer a cozy feel. Would have liked to had rugs in the living room and afghans for the couch. Seems petty but it does make a difference. We've rented many, many cabins and cozy is important for mountain cabins.
The description is fairly accurate as to what is included and the location of the cabin, but we didn't love the fact that this is just off the highway and having the other cabin nearby limited privacy and did not allow us much space to walk the dogs around the cabin.

We were looking for the "cabin in the woods" and that is exactly what we found. The leaf strewn driveway takes
you through a forest that opens up to very nice cabin surrounded by nature. The big front porch leads into the main room with a spacious living room/kitchen/dinning area in a nice open concept that makes the place feel much bigger then it looks. We apprecitaed the amenities provided from the coffee to the nice smelling soaps along with the fully stocked kitchen that made us feel right at home. The only negative type issue we found was the drive into the property is rough and the stairs to the loft were steep but as long as you took your time on both there were no issues. Due to the fire ban we were unable to roast marshmellows but did spend a lot of time sitting on the front porch just looking at the trees and relaxing. We stayed 3 nights but would have stayed longer if plans allowed.
