"Perfect location to explore lake como. Room was clean and comfortable with a view of the lake. Added bonus of breakfast which we did not think was included - standard buffet continental style but still good! Pool and dip pool is a great bonus for when it’s hot! A few good restaurants and gelato down the road. Not too luxury but good value for money and absolutely nothing wrong with it - don’t believe bad reviews!"

"We were lucky enough to stay at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo for a night following a 2 week trip driving around Italy with our family, which included a 4-year-old. They happened to open early for the season this year and we completely fell in love with the place. While the setting is legendary and beautiful, it's the staff that makes it a 5-star experience. They're wonderful and kind and patient and incredibly good humored. And while I don't consider all 5-star hotels to be family friendly, this one...

"Beautiful villa and staff were very accommodating. Views around the lake are stunning and the pool is lovely. Only reason for knocking this down a star was because of being woke up a lot but noise off other guests above and someone vacuuming at 7:15am which was very frustrating "

Very close to Lake Como, with boat stop in Lenno (limited service), much more options for ferries/water taxi just north in Cadenabbia. Only downside is you really need a car to get around (which we had); onsite parking is provided."

The view of the lake and the mountains beyond made the hot trek up the hill from Lenno worth it (and equally walking down the hill to Lenno brought us quickly to a lovely waterfront setting). "We stayed in Sala Comicina 4 relatives in their 70’s and 80’s and our kids. Matteo provided excellent directions to the property along with videos describing the how to get there and enter. The indoor parking was large enough to accommodate our 9 passenger van (though negotiating the tight turn from the road to the driveway required some back and forth).
