  • This 1100 square foot 2 bedroom 1 bath home is in a private setting 1/4 mile from Long Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in the region. You can spend time relaxing in this peaceful setting and be only 6 miles from Traverse City with all its excitement. Sleeping Bear Dunes and historic Leland fish town are a 40 minute drive. Tennis courts and basket ball courts are in walking distance from the house, and The Timbers is a4 minutes drive from the house , which is a hikers destination. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes microwave, dishwasher, Kuerig coffee maker, crock pot, linens dishes and silverware for your convenience. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has 2 twin beds and UHD smart tv. All bedding and towels are supplied. There is also a queen sofa sleeper. The living room has a 55" UHD Smart TV with Spectrum Cable service, high speed internet, Alexa, and WIFI. The laundry room has a LG front load washer and dryer and is stocked with laundry supplies for your use. A fire pit, gas grill and patio set are located in a private backyard setting.
    Enjoy sitting by the fire pit in the evening planning your next days adventure. Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, the quaint fishing town of Leland, Interlochen Arts Academy, wine tours, and downtown Traverse City with its micro breweries, outdoor cafes and shops are all at your doorstep. Quaint home in a perfect location

The home is nestled on a large lot with a beautiful back yard. The home was clean and well thought out for guests. Most everything you could need for your stay was available, and the location was perfect. Hosts communicated well, and even created a book with many of their favorite things to see and do nearby. Would absolutely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay here. It is clear that the owners take great care of the home and that they thought of everything you could possibly need while staying there. It was perfect for our family with small children. We really enjoyed how peaceful it was, and it was fun to see the deer and turkeys that would come to visit the backyard almost daily. We also appreciated the welcome book containing information related to the area. The maps and guides associated with Sleeping Bear Dunes were incredibly useful. If we are ever in the area again, we'd love to come back!

Fall Escape

Convenient to hiking trails, Long Lake, with easy access to town. Quiet neighborhood and comfortable accommodations. This is our third time staying at this location. The home has all the supplies you need and more. In addition a garage is available to park your vehicle.

Perfect for small family or solo travel

The other reviews are accurate when they say that the property has everything you could need for a stay. Check in and out couldn't have been easier, the hosts were quick to answer questions or resolve any issues while giving guests complete privacy. My wife was introduced to ladder golf via the set at the house and now wants a set for our place. All in all this is an excellent spot to stay if you want a quieter setting.

We are a family with two young children and this home was perfect for us. Jack and Jean have clear instructions- check in and out was a breeze. As stated in other reviews, there was little that was not thought of in this home. Very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the use of the garage as well. Enjoyed our stay!

Perfect home away from home

Thoughtful presentation! Early and regular communication so make sure you are prepared. This house is incredibly well kept and clean. You can see they have carefully thought through amenities for guests. We will stay here again when back for child’s school events.

Nice little place

The place was quaint and very clean. This is what means the most to us! Could use to upgrade scratchy mismatched towels and gray linens. Nothing says clean like snow white towels and crisp white linens. Walls are thin, bathroom sounds can be heard in the bedrooms. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. However, there were no televisions in those bedrooms. Grounds are well kept and even though it is in a neighborhood, there is abundant quiet space between homes. Lots of privacy!
