Breakfast mean - no fresh rolls and little choice. Guess we were out of season! Word of warning: depending on your direction of travel to this hotel, Mont Blanc Tunnel is completely closed from 2 September-16 December 2024. Ultra convenient for Mont Blanc ski lift. "

"We have just returned from a week at Hotel D’Olonne (or should I say Chateau D’Olonne). We were excited before arrival, and we were not disappointed. "While in a beautiful location, the hotel is not upfront about their dog policy. Nothing on their website says that dogs cost per night and I find that extremely shady. It was 20€ / night for my UNDER 10kg dog. On the website it makes it sound like you can bring them for free, yet when we checked in the said we must pay but don’t worry we get some amenities. The amenities included a dog bed and 2 dog bowls… not 20€ worth and unnecessary. On top of that “parking is free” however there were not enough spots to accomodate the massive amounts of people and we ended up not being able to find a spot and there are no garages nearby. So we asked about the indoor parking snd they said we can park there for 15€ a night. Again, what??? It feels like nothing more than a cash grab to be honest and breakfast was the thing I was looking forward to the most and it was very show no go. The bacon was not good, orange juice was bitter and watery, bread was sub par, and some of the fried eggs were under cooked… very unsatisfying. The price does not reflect the quality nor is it honest."

"Quiet and simply. You cannot get any better accommodation in - not only in Courmayeur but - all Europe to that price with these amenities and its staff. We really felt like home as the owner family is treating us. The gentlemen had been giving advises for Ski slopes like we are his family. His wife is greeting me and wife every time we see her like family. The night manager gentleman had been waiting for us to return to hotel late at night and closing the doors after us like we are his family. The driver waiting us to drive to the lift - 3 min - is treating us like his family. Wonderful, wonderful. I am seriously considering to spend the rest of my Alpine skiing from US in Courmayeur at Bouton D'or - in my family's hotel."

"Great access to mountain, it was a great bonus that the cable car goes every 20 minutes 8:30am- 23:30 pm. So if you need to get into town for sightseeing or dinner, it’s not a problem. There were several parking options. I was able to find street parking for free. One major negative was you have to walk in the snow about 300 m to the hotel from where the gondola dropped you off- there’s no paved or stable area. I think they can pick you up with a skimobile but I wasn’t sure how to arrange that. "

"I was greeted by a friendly staff member and she made me feel right at home. It felt like visiting family you haven't seen in a long time. I was offered coffee and a seat to relax as I awaited for the room to be ready. I arrived well before check in time and I was lucky my room became available within 1 hour of showing up. The room was very spacious and clean. The evening in the reception area was very cool as there were pigs and dogs hanging out with us. They brought out a hedgehog to greet us and the 2nd night a rabbit was brought out. It was truly a very cool experience. The staff is very friendly, and the cozy space allows you to meet other travelers. Val Veny and the gondola to Mount Blanc are only a short walk away, less than 10 minutes. Very convenient for me since I didn't have a car. I would defiantly stay there again. Thanks for the good memories. "
