The location of Roaring River is perfect for a praceful get away. This soothing sound of the river, the stillness of the atmosphere coupled with an on-site restaurant and quaint private beaches allows for a serene getaway.
Our stay was very relaxing. The gathering area worked out great to meet with our friends.

Serendipity Cabin is the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. The location along the river is idyllic, and the cabin is very private. Even though the cabin is a studio, the kitchen is well stocked and has everything you might need. We appreciated the proximity to Stone Mountain State Park where we hiked and fished. Sampling the vineyard's wines on the riverfront deck was very enjoyable.
Great location for exploring Stone Mountain State Park, Elkins and environs. I have utilized this particular unit about 6 times ans always want to come back for more. Great hosts, location and atmosphere.
Very clean and truly had everything we needed. Only complaint was towels smelled a little musty. We will definitely be back to such a quaint and serene property.
It was a great little spot to unwind and relax. It was quiet and the sound of the river will put you to sleep. Me and my wife recommends it for a great getaway and for a great price. We were very pleased with the whole weekend stay. 5 star worthy.
Love the property. Situated on a little vineyard. The mountains. Plus it’s a close stay to Stone Mountain. Overall it was a pleasant stay for us and we plan on returning.
We went to celebrate a birthday and visit wineries. Found some cool shops in the area and beautiful countryside. The cabins are well kept and have lovely owners that live on-property. It is so nice to be by the river and have an on-property restaurant as well. Tons of great wineries in the area. This stay exceeded our expectations.
This cute little cabin is located within a charming vineyard and great mountain location. The Roaring River Vineyard also has a restaurant, a lodge with 3 other rooms to rent, hot tub, event hall and a relaxing roaring river. Owner was so nice and made sure we were good and this location is near many other vineyards to visit! Highly recommend!
Clean and charming...the site and the cabin. Great location for all my avocations...flyfishing, hiking and small town (Elkins) offerings. Will return in 2025 Lord willing.
This is the second time we have stayed at Serendipity and third time on the property. Wonderful as always. Hosts are very accomodating which is why we keep coming back. You will not be disappointed. Kitchen had everything we needed for a home cooked meal.
Clean, peaceful stay at Serendipity. Supplied with everything we needed. Lovely porch with rocking chairs. Located in a private area on the property. Thoroughly enjoyed and will go back!
5 stars
Great little get away!! We enjoyed the restaurant, wine, walking the property and a delightful conversation with the owner. He showed us the amazing view from their home with some history of the property. We stayed in the cabin and definitely recommend visiting this creek side gem!
What a tranquil setting. The stream running by our place was perfect. Especially at night with the fire going. The restaurant has a limited menu, but everything that we ordered was very good. Tom, the owner, is a great host too. We will be back!
Wonderful property. We were looking for a peaceful, quiet and serene weekend. That's exactly what we got. Every morning, with a cup of coffee, we would seat on the porch and end up watching the trout in the river under the covered meeting area. At night, we would enjoy the silence of the night with the sound of the river .. so relaxing. We signed up for the Cloud Wine VIP membership, because we enjoyed the property so much.We highly recommend you stay at this property or one of the other lodging options on the premises.Almost forgot, the wine and food are incredibly tasty.
Tranquility and serenity are just two qualities found here.
Incredible....front yard is a beautiful river and the backyard is a vineyard. If you fo not feel "you are away from it all" there must be something wrong with you.
Everything was exactly as advertised - clean, cozy, and fully stocked with everything you need for a nice break from the grind. The cabin was idyllic and in a peaceful, quiet area (while being close enough to town that you can easily pick up anything you want that isn’t provided). The area does have poor mobile/cell service but in my opinion, that’s an upside. Host does offer free wifi so if you must be connected, that’s an option. Highly recommend.
Our cabin, Serendipity, was a cozy abode. It had everything needed especially a very comfortable bed. It was steps to the Roaring River, where we were en tuned to nature while sharing a delicious bottle of Rose from the winery. The hosts were friendly and helpful. They shared the history of their property. They encouraged us to walk the trails around the vineyard. There were interesting secrets along the trails. We especially enjoyed the vineyard dogs, who greeted us each time they passed by.
