"The hotel was very nice and the staff were excellent. It is a smaller hotel in a rural type town and you got that small town care from the staff. They provided us with a triple room so we could have a double bed and helped make our stay very comfortable. The breakfast was very good with fresh fried eggs and a good selection of breads and other items. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a clean comfortable room in a smaller setting. "

"The Quinta da Moita is out of the way of the Douro Valley but well worth the detour. I stayed there 3 nights on a solo trip. The owners are fantastic, very sweet. The place is perfect for quiet respite, clean rooms, comfortable beds, great breakfast! I recommend to anyone for solo stay or couple gateaway! Their wines are great too! Just make sure to have food for dinner if you want to relax for the evening as everything is pretty far. But the drive is gorgeous and fun! "

"Our stay at Casa de Malhões was fantastic. The home was clean, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need — from a well-stocked kitchen with coffee to an outdoor BBQ area complete with dishes and a sink. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating with our check-in and check-out times, which we truly appreciated. Our kids (2 & 5) loved the small pool — just the right size for a young family. The outdoor space was perfect for gathering and relaxing, though we’d recommend bringing bug spray for the evenings. We only wish we had more time — we would have loved to stay longer! Another thing worth noting is that its off the beaten path - so be prepared to drive down a dirt road and to be 'away' from any neighbours. The drive is well lit and there is cell phone reception at all times so its not so obscure that your off the grid, but it is far enough inland that your in a private space. "

"Fantastic location, friendly staff, great food. If the Serenity concept is to work, the management has to decide: either an adults-only hotel or a separate playground for children. This needs to be improved, as the children otherwise are always loud with everyone."

"A fabulously relaxing hotel in a beautiful rural setting. The hotel is surrounded by a vineyard and horse riding is available onsite. If you don’t ride like us then enjoy the pool and the great walking trails locally. You can also do a wine and or a cheese tasting The wine in the restaurant is very good and you can also buy it by the case to take home with you. We came back for our second visit just so we could do this. The staff are very welcoming, helpful and kind. If you want a relaxing break in a sophisticated but relaxed hotel stay here. "
